摘要: A shadow mask is arranged to face a phosphor screen formed on an inner surface of a panel. A plurality of aperture columns are formed in parallel in the shadow mask. Each aperture column includes a plurality of apertures arranged in line at a predetermined interval. On both sides of each aperture column on the surface of the shadow mask facing the electron gun, stripe-shaped dielectric layers for acting on electron beams toward the apertures are formed respectively, and extend in substantial parallel with the aperture columns. The shadow mask is manufactured in such a manner that stripe-shaped insulating material layers are formed on the surface of a mask base material facing the electron gun, the mask base material is thereafter shaped into a predetermined shape, and the insulating material layers on the shaped mask are sintered.

摘要: An information provision system 11 is provided which provides in advance a travel data package 10 via the Internet 1, in which data effective for measuring the current position such as the longitude and latitude information of a travel site location is stored based on itinerary information in such a manner as to be associated with an itinerary. Then, as a result of going on a travel by storing the distributed travel data package 10 in a portable terminal 6, it is possible to measure the current position in a short time because the longitude and latitude information, for example, of a scheduled place of the itinerary can be known in advance at a travel site.

摘要: The present invention is directed to a compact lens system equally operable in both air and water, comprising a first lens group having a front surface directly facing the air or water medium, the center of the curvature of the front surface being located approximately at the entrance pupil of the lens system, and a second lens group located at the image side of the first lens group with an air space formed between the first and second lens groups. The air space and design parameters being selected in the lens system so that the field curvature of the lens system is mainly changed without any substantial change in other aberrations when the air space is changed, wherein the air space is changeable by a predetermined value in response to the change between use in air and use under water for maintaining a relatively flat image surface.

摘要: An objective lens system, for example of a Gauss or Tessar type is provided having the capability of adequately correcting aberrations even when the lens system is focussed at a relatively close object. The lens system is adaptable for use in cameras and comprises a first lens group including an aperture stop and a second lens group positioned on the image side of the first lens group. The second lens group includes a first lens sub-group of positive refracting power and a second lens sub-group of negative refractive power. The air spaces provided between the first lens group and the first lens sub-group and also between the first lens sub-group and the second lens sub-group are varied to compensate for changes in aberrations resulting from focussing at a relatively close object. More specifically, the first air space is increased while the second air space is decreased when the object distance of the lens system is decreased.

摘要: The present invention relates to a small portable information processing apparatus. A GPS unit (11, 300) is attachable to and detachable from a rear surface of a portable information terminal (10, 350), so that the GPS unit (11, 300) can be mounted on the rear surface of the portable information terminal (10, 350) to make it serviceable only when necessary, thus improving convenience. Power is supplied to the GPS unit (11, 300, 650) only when an antenna unit (112, 500, 613) is set in a serviceable state. This prevents the exhaustion of a battery.

摘要: In an interchangeable lens including an optical system adjustable for focusing and adapted to be detachably mounted on a camera body which is provided with focus detection means for detecting an amount of defocus of an object image formed by the optical system, and drive means for driving the optical system for the focus adjustment thereof in accordance with the detected amount of defocus. The interchangeable lens comprises, inter alia, a code plate for producing a plurality of digital photographic distance signals representing given discrete photographic distances of the optical system in accordance with the adjustment of the optical system for focusing. Circuit means output a predetermined one of a plurality of inputs, the plurality of outputs including a plurality of conversion coefficients needed for converting the detected amount of defocus into the amount of drive to be effected by the driving means, the conversion coefficients being intrinsic to the interchangeable lens and having values depending upon the discrete photographic distances of the optical system represented by the digital photographic distance signals, respectively. The digital photographic distance signals are applied to the circuit means as the predetermined input to cause the circuit means to output one of the conversion coefficients as the predetermined output, the value of which depends upon the photographic distance of the optical system represented by the one digital photographic distance signal being produced. The output conversion coefficient are transmitted to the camera body.
