    摘要: A system for focusing and accelerating a beam of electrically charged particles, for example protons. The system comprises: a beam generator; a charge pulse generator; and a focusing and accelerating device comprising a body with a core. The body defines a charge path extending along the body and beam generator directs a beam of electrically charged particles through the core. The charge pulse generator simultaneously delivers charge pulses to the charge path. The charge path may be helical in shape. Movement of the charge pulse along the path creates an electric field that simultaneously accelerates and focuses the beam.

    摘要: An inline electron gun for use in a multi-beam electron gun as in a color cathode ray tube (CRT) includes a main focus lens for focusing the electron beams on the CRT's display screen for providing a video image. The main focus lens includes plural charged grids aligned in a spaced manner along the electron gun's longitudinal axis through which plural (typically three) electron beams are directed. One or more of these charged grids includes at least two aligned common apertures for passing the three electron beams. The layered common aperture arrangement allows for increasing the length of the electron gun as well as the effective diameter of the electron gun's main focus lens for improved video image resolution without introducing electron beam astigmatism.

    摘要: A color cathode ray tube includes an electron gun having a plurality of electrodes, an electron beam deflection device and a phosphor screen. A deflection defocusing correcting element is located in a deflection magnetic field produced by the deflection device to locally modify the magnetic field in a path of an electron beam and corrects the deflection defocusing of the electron beam corresponding to deflection of the electron beam. The deflection defocusing element includes the magnetic metal plate providing magnetic pole pieces and a non-magnetic metal support for holding the magnetic metal plate in place. The magnetic metal plate and the non-magnetic metal support are laminated or clad one on another, or joined edge-to-edge.

    摘要: A cathode-ray tube with variable energy of electrons of a beam formed by an electron accelerating means and an electron focusing means which are arranged in tandem along the beam axis. The electron focusing means comprises a magnetic lens with a constant magnetic-field intensity and an electrostatic lens so arranged with respect to the magnetic lens that defocusing of the electron beam by the magnetic lens, due to variations in the energy of the beam electrons, is compensated for. The electrostatic lens comprises two axisymmetric electrodes, the first electrode being electrically associated with the electron accelerating means, along the beam axis, and the second electrode being electrically associated with the screen of the cathode-ray tube.
