摘要: An automated traffic control and billing system for billboard advertising searches a relational database having contract terms for billboards having powered features (such as illumination), and establishes one or more approval conditions for a specific billboard based on its corresponding contract terms. An approval condition may be payment of an invoice by a due date. The system monitors compliance with the approval condition, and generates a control signal when non-compliance is detected. A local signage control unit co-located at the billboard disables operation of the powered feature in response to the control signal. In those cases where the billboard has multiple powered features, the local signage control unit can selectively disable only one of the powered features associated with the non-paying customer. The powered feature is disabled according to different means depending on its nature; in an illustrative embodiment electricity to the feature is simply turned off.

摘要: A method and system for exercising areas of the body such as the neck, the wrist, the ankle, and the torso which require a wide range of motion and effective resistance over this range. A first member can rotate in relation to a frame and a user interface (second member) is moveable in relation to the first member. As a user pushes on the user interface in any of an X-Y direction the user interface travels in a controlled arcuate three-dimensional motion. The user interface is attached to a lead (rope or cable) which holds the user interface at a rest position and also provides a force on the user interface in the opposite direction of the users force. The lead is attached to an adjustable resistive system and/or a damping system that resists the movement of the sliding assembly. The lead spools in and out of from a central location through a fairlead. Many mechanical configurations can be utilized to allow the user interface to travel in an arcuate path in the direction which it is pushed.

摘要: A deflection mechanism for selectively inducing a bend in a catheter body includes an elongated deflection wire extending within a deflection lumen of the catheter body and into a handle. A guide track is formed within the handle and a thumb wheel is mounted proximal to the elongated guide track within the handle and supports a pinion gear; the thumb wheel and the pinion gear are adapted to be rotated about a common thumb wheel axis, which extends substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. A rack arm extends obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the handle and includes runners received by the guide track, an attachment point coupling the deflection wire to the rack arm and a linear rack engaging the pinion gear. Rotation of the thumb wheel in a first direction draws the deflection wire proximally through the deflection lumen.

摘要: Listener data is gathered by obtaining first behavioral information from a user visiting a first website or mobile device using a first ID, obtaining second behavioral information from the user visiting a second website or mobile device that provides a different product from the first website using a second ID, correlating the first and second behavioral information to determine that they are that of a single user, associating the first ID with the second ID, and associating the first behavioral information with the second behavioral information. The method may use a device identifier for a device that accesses a streaming media site, and store information associated with the media site and the user's behavior. Credits can be assigned to the user based on the user's behavior, and promotions made available based on the user's behavior. The credits can then be accepted as tender for one or more of the promotions.

摘要: In some embodiments, a construction project administration system and method are disclosed that queries an administrator as to ownership, construction specifications, bidding parameters etc. for a proposed construction project using active first, second and third level questions and accepts and stores replies to the active questions. The stored replies can be compared to predetermined answers, and questions that become irrelevant based on the answers can be deactivated and taken off a list of questions to be asked. After a sufficient amount of questions are answered, the system can auto-configure a process for online construction management. For example a website can be set up that can be used by all parties to the project to automate communications, the exchange of data, status updates etc. including the submission of bids, acceptance of bids, and the award of contracts and many more paperless construction management features.

摘要: A reporting system for transmission broadcast media automatically monitors content distribution by media outlets and their delivery model, and identifies content and locates corresponding royalty arrangements and rights holders. Accordingly, royalty transactions can be minimized as superior rights holders can be directly compensated based on distribution models, private royalty agreements and statutory considerations. IN some embodiments superior rights holders such as a publisher can be compensated directly forgoing compensating intermediaries or inferior rights holders or performing rights organizations. Thus, the disclosed arrangements can calculate compensation amounts superior rights holder and a deduction amount for the compensation due to the inferior rights holder. Payment instructions for the payment amount to the superior rights holder are accordingly issued, and the payment instructions are reported to the inferior rights holder as well as the artist of a work in the content usage.

摘要: A bed foundation is provided which is constructed of blow-molded plastic and may be assembled without using tools. The components of the bed foundation all have lengths of less than 60 inches and may be packaged together in a container having a length less than 60 inches and a girth less than 84 inches, so as to avoid shipping penalties. The components are constructed and arranged to allow disassembly and storage when the foundation is not in use. One embodiment provides a bed foundation that, when assembled, has a top panel which overhangs the side rails to permit an oversized mattress to be placed thereon. Additionally, bed legs are provided that are configured to mate with contours in the foundation.
