    Abstract: A method for conditioning a hard gelatin capsule (50) having any moisture content to a dry and non-brittle state when packed for at least one week in a cavity (45) of a blister base (40) closed by a lid film (35) comprising an aluminium foil, wherein the hard gelatin capsule (50) is a hard starch capsule manufactured from collagen and the hard gelatin capsule (50) contains pharmaceuticals and wherein the dry state of the hard gelatin capsule (50) means a relative humidity of less than 50% at room temperature and the non-brittle state means that the hard gelatin capsule (50) does not break when pressed out of the cavity (45) of the blister base (40) through the lid film (35). The lid film (35) and/or the blister base (40) comprise/s a moisture-regulating buffer layer (20) with a predefined humidity. The moisture-regulating buffer layer (20) consists of a polymer or polymer mixture containing 1 to 60 wt. % of an absorber material which is either a hygroscopic salt, a silica gel or a zeolite or a mixture of any of said absorber materials, wherein the absorber material buffers the humidity in the space within the cavity (45) surrounding the hard gelatin capsule (50) to lie in a range between 10 and 50% r.h.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a lid film for packaging of e.g. human or pet food. The lid film has a multi-layer structure and comprises a sealing layer, a barrier layer, a print primer layer, a print layer, an optional print protection layer, and a relief layer. The sealing layer, the barrier layer, the print primer layer, the print layer and the optional print protection layer are essentially flat. The relief layer is arranged at least on a part of the print layer and comprises at least n three dimensional structures per cm2 projecting at an essentially right angle from a surface of the adjacent print layer or the optional print protection layer and said three dimensional structures forming an non-continuous elevated surface, wherein the total of said elevated surface area formed by the three dimensional structures equals at least m % of a total surface area of the lid film and wherein the three dimensional structures have a minimal height of 5 μm.

    Abstract: Composite film (1) for closing a container (10) by sealing the composite film (1) against a circumferential sealing surface (11) of the container (10) or of a cap ring (12) to be connected to the container (10). The composite film (1) comprises an outer support layer (30) made of a metal film and an inner multilayer membrane (20) laminated to the outer support layer (30) using a bonding layer (28). The membrane (20) has a consecutive layer structure from the outside to the inside consisting of a backbone layer (21) made of polypropylene, an intermediate layer (23) made of a partially crystalline polyamide and a cohesively breakable peeling layer (25) made of polypropylene, polyethylene and talc, wherein between the intermediate layer (23) and the backbone layer (21) as well as between the intermediate layer (23) and the peeling layer (25) there is arranged a tie layer (22, 24) made of a maleic acid anhydride grafted polypropylene. The membrane has further an innermost sealing layer (26) made of a random copolymer comprising monomers of propylene, ethylene and butylene, wherein the random copolymer is grafted with maleic acid anhydride. The softening point of the sealing layer (26) lies at least between 15 and 25° C. lower than that of the tie layers (22, 24). A use and a method of producing said composite film (1) are also disclosed.

    Abstract: Composite film (1) for closing a container (10) by sealing the composite film (1) against a circumferential sealing surface (11) of the container (10) or of a cap ring (12) to be connected to the container (10).     Abstract: A composite film for closing a container by sealing the composite film against a circumferential sealing surface of the container or of a cap ring to be connected to the container has a support layer made of a metal film and a sealing layer connected to the metal film. The sealing layer comprises a coextruded layer with a cohesively breaking intermediate layer and adhesion promoter layers arranged on both sides of the intermediate layer. The composite film is suitable for tight sealing against sealing surfaces made of polished tinplate.
