摘要： A holder for securing a leaf of a hinge to a steel door frame has a first U-shaped housing part having two end walls, a bight wall connecting the two end walls, and respective mounting flanges projecting from the end walls and securable to the door frame. A complementarily second housing part defines a cavity with the first housing part and has a cover plate, a pair of end plates having outer faces bearing on inner faces of the end walls, and a front plate extending between the end plates and from a front edge of the cover plate and formed with a cutout through which a hinge leaf can extend into the cavity. A clamp in the cavity can secure the hinge leaf to the housing parts. There is a snap connection between the front plate and the first housing part.

Top and bottom sheet-metal parts forming a housing surround one of the hinge leaves. The top part is formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps each projecting toward and bearing on an upper face of the bottom part. Each side flap is formed with at least one downward projecting tab that extends past, is bent over, and bears upward against a bottom face of the bottom part. Two rotatable adjustment spindles are each journaled in the housing and threaded in the one leaf so that rotation of the spindles moves the one leaf in a first direction perpendicular to the hinge axis.

摘要： A holder for securing a leaf of hinge to a steel door frame has a first U-shaped housing part having two end walls, a bight wall connecting the two end walls, and respective mounting flanges projecting from the end walls and securable to the door frame. A complementarily second housing part defines a cavity with the first housing part and has a cover plate, a pair of end plates having outer faces bearing on inner faces of the end walls, and a front plate extending between the end plates from a front edge of the cover plate and formed with a cutout through which a hinge leaf can engage into the cavity. A clamp in the cavity can secure the hinge leaf extending through the cutout into the cavity. There is a snap connection between the front plate and the first housing part.

The holder is formed by a pair of bent sheet-metal brackets together forming a cavity in which engages one of the hinge leaves. One of the brackets has a face forming an acute angle to the axis. A pair of rotatable and externally threaded spindles extending across the cavity are threaded to the one leaf such that rotation of the spindles adjusts a position of the one leaf in the cavity relative to the holder. An adjustment screw threaded in the housing bears on the angled face so that the screw can be rotated to press against the face and cam the holder axially.

摘要： A method of making a hinge has the steps of forming a region of a piece of sheet metal with a groove and then bending the piece of sheet metal to form the region into an eye with the groove opening inwardly into the eye so that the piece of sheet metal with the eye forms a first leaf. A pivot pin with a radially outwardly projecting thickened region is fitted and pressed into the eye such that the radially thickened region radially elastically widens the eye. Once the thickened region reaches the groove, the eye springs back so that the pivot pin is then captured held in the eye.
