Abstract:
A door hinge has two hinge leaves joined together at a knuckle defining a hinge axis about which the leaves are relatively pivotal. Top and bottom sheet-metal parts forming a housing surround one of the hinge leaves. The top part is formed with a plurality of downwardly projecting side flaps each projecting toward and bearing on an upper face of the bottom part. Each side flap is formed with at least one downward projecting tab that extends past, is bent over, and bears upward against a bottom face of the bottom part. Two rotatable adjustment spindles are each journaled in the housing and threaded in the one leaf so that rotation of the spindles moves the one leaf in a first direction perpendicular to the hinge axis.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a device (1, 100) for determining the sex of fertilized, nonincubated bird eggs (13, 130), where an egg (13, 130) has a solid egg shell (14), an egg yolk (2) which is surrounded by the egg shell and further egg integuments and a blastodisc (3) associated with the egg yolk (2), and where a probe (4, 40) for measuring a spectrum is introduced through a hole (17) of the egg shell (14) towards the blastodisc (3) with blastodisc cells (23), with the following steps: —positioning of the probe (4, 40) in the region of the blastodisc (3), —spectroscopic in-ovo characterization of the blastodisc cells (23), and —identification of the sex by an automatic classification of spectra.

Abstract:
A hinge for mounting a door-panel or window sash to a fixed jamb element has two leaves pivoted together about an axis. One of the leaves is adapted for attachment directly to an edge of one of the elements. A housing is recessed in the other of the elements and has a pair of generally parallel and vertical side walls with inner faces defining a horizontally open cavity. A bar is shiftable in the cavity horizontally perpendicular to the side walls and vertically. At least one fastener releasably securing the other of the leaves to the bar. A pair of spindles extending perpendicular to the side walls in the cavity are threaded into the bar and have opposite ends bearing on the inner faces of the side walls so that rotation of the spindles shifts the bar perpendicular to the side walls.
