摘要: In one example, an anti-fouling latex ink includes a liquid vehicle, a pigment dispersed in the liquid vehicle, latex dispersed in the liquid vehicle, and a polystyrene anti-fouling additive dispersed in the liquid vehicle as a free solution. An illustrative method of formulating a latex inkjet ink includes forming a liquid vehicle with water as primary solvent, dispersing pigments in the liquid vehicle, and adding 0.01 wt % to 1 wt % of a polystyrene antifouling additive as a free solution to the liquid vehicle.

摘要: The interconnections for transmitting print commands from a printer to a printhead are reduced by the use of on-printhead circuitry. In a basic embodiment, the printhead driver circuitry includes a matrix of drivers controlled by gates, power and control interconnections. Interconnections are reduced by enabling rows and columns of drivers with the power and control interconnections. A multiplexer may also be added to further reduce control interconnections. In an advanced embodiment, the printhead driver circuitry includes a register for converting a serial stream of print enable signals from the printer into a format for applying such signals concurrently to switching devices for one or more heater resistors. An address generator on the printhead generates address signals in response to an address generating signal from the printer. The printer provides constant power to the printhead so that energizing of the heater resistors is a function of the address and print enable signals and not of the power. Variations on the basic and advanced embodiments are also shown and described.

摘要: A snack bag assembly for consuming a snack product without touching the snack product includes a bag containing a snack product and a flap that is disposed in the bag. The flap is positioned inside the bag and the flap is extendable outwardly from the bag when the bag is opened such that the flap defines a chute. Moreover, the chute facilitates the snack product to be poured from the bag. In this way the chute facilitates a user to consume the snack product without having to touch the snack product with their hands.

摘要: The invention refers to a flood or gravity irrigation system by channels using plastic film that aims to make water consumption more efficient and reduce the loss of water from filtration; characterized by the use of plastic film with the width necessary to form a transport channel for a flow of flood irrigation water between furrows, and long enough to cover the length of the furrows; said film includes along its entire length, distributed equidistantly or not, a large amount of perforations and/or frangible sections defined by tapering lines or by a succession of small perforations or cuts that create different shapes, which can be removed to create successive, alternating, or discontinuous perforations in the film, through which water is distributed to the root system of the crops, according to the type of crop and the required amounts of water. Said plastic film is installed manually or with a machine in the valleys made between the furrows, creating a transport channel for irrigation water and with its side edges buried in the sides of the furrow, completely covering the valleys and part of the sides of the furrow.

摘要: A thin film thermal ink jet printhead having a compound ink feed slot that includes a trench in the top surface of a silicon substrate and a plurality of slots extending from the bottom surface of the silicon substrate to the trench. A plurality of patterned thin film layers are disposed on the top surface of the silicon substrate apart from the trench, and a patterned ink barrier layer is disposed over the plurality of patterned thin film layers. The patterned ink barrier layer includes an opening generally in alignment with the elongated trench, and a plurality of openings that form ink containing chambers which are adjacent to the trench and in communication with the opening that is generally in alignment with the elongated trench. Ink is conveyed from outside the substrate through the slots and trench, and into the ink containing chambers. The patterned thin film layers on the silicon substrate include a metallization layer and a passivation layer overlying the metallization layer, and the trench is advantageously formed by overetching of the passivation layer to remove it from the region in which the trench is to be formed.
