摘要: A well passing through a geological formation is fitted with a tube, open at its bottom end, that is filled with a fluid. Another fluid is in the annular space between the tube and the wall of the well, the two fluids exhibiting an interface situated in the annular space. A hydraulic balance of the fluids of the well is disturbed and the trend of certain quantities is measured. These measurements are moreover simulated by computer by using different sets of values for the physical parameters, and efforts are made to estimate the geological formation. A comparison of the measurements with the simulation results makes it possible to identify an optimum set of values for the parameters.

摘要: An impeller for a planet carrier of a epicyclic speed reduction gear of a turbine engine is fixed in rotation to the planet carrier and is rotatable about an axis of the reduction gear. The impeller has an annular shape about the axis and includes means for lubricating in particular planet gear bearings of the reduction gear. The lubricating means include an annular cavity located at the inner periphery of the impeller, wherein the impeller has an inner peripheral wall that closes the cavity in the radial direction. The impeller further includes an annular aperture that extends around the axis and opens in the axial direction into the cavity to supply lubricating oil thereto.

摘要: In steel making apparatus, solid metal products rich in iron are melted and refined in a first furnace having two spouts for evacuating the resultant liquid metal from the furnace into a second adjoining furnace having an inlet port cooperating with one of the spouts to effectuate the continuous transfer of the liquid metal to the second furnace by siphon effect. The first furnace is pivotal about a horizontal axis disposed laterally in respect thereof and in the immediate proximity of the respective ends of the evacuating spouts.

摘要: A device is provided for fracturing a geological hydrocarbon reservoir including two packers defining between them a confined space in a well drilled in the reservoir; a pump for increasing the pressure of a fluid in the confined space; an apparatus for heating the fluid; at least one pair of two electrodes arranged in the confined space; and an electric circuit for generating an electric arc between the two electrodes, the circuit including at least one voltage source connected to the electrodes and an inductance between the voltage source and one of the two electrodes. The device permits improved fracturing of the reservoir.
