Abstract: A bed comprises substrate support members, each including a load bearing and a base configured to provide contact with a floor. The load bearing member is configured to move vertically relative to the base, while the base and the load bearing member are configured to fit together to maintain lateral alignment of the base and the load bearing member. A load sensor is positioned between the base and the load bearing member, the load bearing member configured to transmit a load from the substrate to the load sensor. A printed circuit board is in communication with the load sensor. A controller is in communication with the printed circuit board of each substrate support member and is configured to receive and process data output by the printed circuit boards.

Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods for a continuous-wave (CW) radar system for detecting, geolocating, identifying, discriminating between, and mapping ferrous and non-ferrous metals in brackish and saltwater environments. The CW radar system generates multiple extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves simultaneously and uses said waves to detect, locate, and classify objects of interest. These objects include all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as changing material boundary layers (e.g., soil to water, sand to mud, rock to organic materials, water to air, etc.). The CW radar system is operable to detect objects of interest in near real time.

Abstract: An outer space-based debris detection system may include a network of satellites. A first satellite may be configured to propagate a first series of solitary plasma waves through an outer space detection area having a debris body therein. The debris body propagates second plasma waves therefrom. A second satellite associated with the detection area may be configured to receive the first series of solitary plasma waves from the first satellite after interaction with the second plasma waves from the debris body to thereby detect the debris body.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for measuring and otherwise processing core samples. In some embodiments, a method includes containing a core sample in a containment vessel including dynamically adjusting pressure within the containment vessel to maintain a phase of fluid within the core sample. Pressure is reduced within the containment vessel. During pressure or following reduction, one or more properties of the fluid in the core sample are measured.

Abstract: The invention provides a projection method and system. The method includes providing a first sensing group sensing a space and generating a first sensing result to determine whether a user is in an entering or exiting state relative to the space; providing a second sensing group sensing a first or second object in the space according to the first sensing result and generating a second sensing result; and generating a prompt information according to the second sensing result and displaying the prompt information. The system includes a first sensing group, a second sensing group, and a display device. The method and system of the invention sense the space according to the entering and exiting state of the user to effectively reduce the inspection steps of the user for the space, thereby effectively improving the safety of the space, and improving the operating convenience of the user of the space.
