    摘要: The invention relates to an aluminum scrap melting system (1) comprising a melting furnace (10) comprising a burner (20) which comprises an oxidant injector (23), and a fuel injector (25); a suction hood (30) intended to capture by suction the combustion fumes (F) and comprising a carbon monoxide sensor (37) configured to measure a carbon monoxide concentration (C) in said combustion fumes (F); and a control device (50) configured to receive an item of input information representative of the value of the carbon monoxide concentration (C), and to pilot the oxidant injector (23) and/or the fuel injector (25), according to said item of input information, the oxidant and fuel flows being piloted to contain the volatile organic compound content (VOC) at the output of the melting furnace at concentrations less than a safety value. The invention also relates to a process for melting aluminum scrap with such a melting system (1).

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a metallurgical furnace and roof having a drain system. The roof has a roof body comprising a top surface having a center opening, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, and an outer sidewall connecting the top surface to the bottom surface. The outer sidewall, the bottom surface and the top surface define an interior portion. An internal spray cooling system is disposed in the interior portion of the body. A drain system is integral with the body. The drain system has a roof evacuation conduit disposed outside the interior portion and configured to collect spay coolant from the interior portion of the body. The drain system additionally has a drain box having a vent and an exit pipe, wherein the roof evacuation conduit channels spent coolant by gravity into the drain box which is evacuated under gravity by the exit pipe.

A furnace is also described which is suitable for receiving a volume of copper scrap from the above charging system and method, characterized by a flat vault with a horizontal charging door, whose opening width for receiving the charge of shredded scrap is less than 0.6 m. The system, method and furnace described make it possible to optimize the process of melting and refining copper scrap, as well as reduce the consumption of energy and the emission of polluting gases.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to automatic sanding hopper systems and methods for supplying sand to a tap hole in a furnace. The automatic sanding hopper system may automatically open a chimney door to provide access to a furnace through a chimney hole. A hopper assembly in the sanding hopper system may automatically move to a position in which a plunger may automatically actuate to clear or clean out the chimney hole. The hopper assembly may thereafter automatically move to a position in which a sand dispenser delivers sand through the chimney hole, into the furnace, and into the tap hole in the furnace. A sensor device may determine whether or not the tap hole is properly filled with sand. The hopper assembly may automatically retract and the chimney door may automatically close to begin another steelmaking heat.

    摘要: A melting or holding furnace includes a furnace chamber surrounded by a housing. The chamber holds the melt with a maximum filling level. The furnace also has an outlet opening for transferring the melt to another container. The outlet opening is provided with a shut-off valve for dosing the emerging melt. The valve is covered by melt in normal operation. The housing is connected to a tilting device which tilts the housing in such a manner that the shut-off valve can be freed from melt for the purpose of repairing it even at a maximum filling level.
