    摘要: Various arrangements for selecting a function to be executed on a mobile device are presented. A processor may receive proximity data that indicates the mobile device is proximate to a user. The processor may receive acceleration data that indicates a direction of acceleration. In response to receiving the proximity data indicating that the mobile device is proximate to the user, the processor may identify a position of the mobile device in relation to the user using the acceleration data. In response to identifying the position of the mobile device in relation to the user using the acceleration data, the processor may select a function to be executed.

    摘要: In a particular embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input at a first display surface of an electronic device to move a graphical user interface element displayed at the first display surface. The electronic device includes a second display surface separated from the first display surface by a gap. The method also includes determining that at least a portion of the graphical user interface element is to be moved beyond an edge of the first display surface into the gap such that the at least a portion of the graphical user element will not be displayed at the first display surface. The method further includes displaying the at least a portion of the graphical user interface element at the second display surface based on a location and a direction of movement of the graphical user interface element at the first display surface.

    摘要: Dynamic force feedback is provided in a device to alert a user about a message received on the device from a remote user and to convey content, context, or a type of the message. Producing dynamic force feedback may include activating a motion induction device, which accelerates and decelerates a mass to create tapping within the device. The amplitude and frequency of the tapping may be configured to produce sequences of taps to alert the user about different types, contexts, or content of received messages. Additionally, multiple motion induction devices may be included in a device to produce dynamic force feedback along multiple dimensions. Multiple dimension dynamic force feedback may be used in providing geographical directions to a user.
