Disclosed is a method of performing a supervisor handover with ease prior to the supervisor handover by selecting a candidate supervisor on a Bluetooth High Rate (HR) subnet having one supervisor and a plurality of members. The method comprises the steps of selecting the candidate supervisor eligible for the new supervisor among the members on the HR subnet prior to the supervisor handover, and broadcasting an inquiry message to all the members on the HR subnet by the candidate supervisor when the supervisor handover is initiated. The method further comprises the step of electing the candidate supervisor as the new supervisor when all members on the HR subnet respond to the inquiry message.

The present invention discloses an apparatus and method for avoiding mutual interference between wireless communication systems. A measurement unit measures the strength of a signal received through a channel to be used in a transmission slot for a switching time of a reception mode and a transmission mode. A judgment unit compares the strength of the received signal with the strength of a reference signal, and judges data transmission. A control unit outputs a signal for performing a transmission operation of the data according to the judgment of the judgment unit. The wireless communication system transmits the data according to the input signal from the control unit. The data transmission is decided by confirming the state of the transmission slot, thereby avoiding collision with a communication apparatus using a frequency identical to a frequency of the channel of the transmission slot.

In the backward path set-up step, the destination node in receipt of the route request message sends out a route reply message to the source node through one of the set forward paths, thus setting up a backward path. Through the set backward path, a route is formed as the most suitable path between the source node and the destination node to save battery power and provide broader bandwidth.
