    摘要: A magnetic anti-lock device for a rotating shaft is described. The magnetic anti-lock device utilizes opposing magnets to reduce the varying force required to rotate the shaft and increases efficiency of the rotating shaft. The magnetic anti-lock device includes at least one inner magnet attached to the rotating shaft, and at least one outer magnet fixed in position relative to the rotating shaft. The inner magnet passes the outer magnet each time the shaft rotates creating a repulsive force to reduce the force necessary to rotate the shaft.

    摘要: A system to determine unwanted noise produced by simulation equipment. In one embodiment, an angular rotation noise measuring system comprises a stable body, a laser, at least one interferometer and at least one mirror. The laser is adapted to generate a primary laser beam and is mounted to the stable body. The at least one interferometer is adapted to split the primary laser beam into two or more out of phase secondary laser beams. Moreover, the interferometer is coupled to the stable body. The at least one mirror is coupled to a fixture on a vibration generating device. The fixture is adapted to hold a device under test. Each mirror is adapted to reflect an associated secondary laser beam back to the interferometer such that an interference pattern is formed with the secondary laser beams. Changes to the interference pattern determine the angular rotation noise caused by the vibration generating device.

    摘要: A security management system includes a fusion engine which “fuses” or assembles information from multiple data sources and analyzes this information in order to detect relationships between raw events that may indicate malicious behavior and to provide an organized presentation of information to consoles without slowing down the processing performed by the data sources. The multiple data sources can comprise sensors or detectors that monitor network traffic or individual computers or both. The sensors can comprise devices that may be used in intrusion detection systems (IDS). The data sources can also comprise firewalls, audit systems, and other like security or IDS devices that monitor data traffic in real-time. The present invention can identify relationships between one or more real-time, raw computer events as they are received in real- time. The fusion engine can also assess and rank the risk of real-time raw events as well as mature correlation events.

    摘要: A compressor housing is provided for a compressor impeller. The compressor housing comprises an outer shell including an outer section, a midsection, and a center section. The midsection of the outer shell forms an upper volute wall portion of the compressor housing, and the center section forms an inlet for the compressor housing. A diffuser is also provided that is comprised of a center section, a base section, and an outer section. The center section of the diffuser has a substantially cylindrical outer edge received within a complementary substantially cylindrical mating surface in the outer shell center section. The diffuser base section has a raised first mating projection for engagement with the first mating surface of the midsection of the outer shell. The diffuser outer section has a raised second mating projection for engagement with a second mating surface of the midsection of the outer shell. A back plate is also provided that is formed of a generally circular structure. The diffuser base section has a generally flat lower surface for engagement with a generally flat upper surface of the back plate. The outer shell midsection, the diffuser and the back plate form the volute wall portion of a compressor housing.

    摘要: Conventional foamable cavity sealing articles are susceptible to sagging when expanded in a vertical orientation with the foaming material facing downwards, because of gravitational drag on the molten material during expansion. The problem is particularly pronounced in foaming materials formulated to have high expansion ratios and low melt viscosities. A solution to the problem is presented in the form of a cavity sealing article having a planar holder and a foamable sealer, the foamable sealer circumscribing the edge of the support member. This construction creates a gripping effect which prevents sagging of the sealing member during expansion.

    摘要: A method for controlling trapped air in a clutch of an automatic clutch-to-clutch transmission includes, calculating a pulse on time based on a clutch volume and adaptive convergence. A pulse off time is calculated based on a temperature of transmission fluid. A pulse number is calculated based on the temperature of transmission fluid. A maximum pressure is commanded to the clutch based on the pulse on time and a minimum pressure is then commanded to the clutch based on the pulse off time. A pulse counter is incremented when the pulse off time expires. The steps of commanding maximum pressure, then commanding minimum pressure, and incrementing the pulse counter are repeated until the pulse counter equals a desired pulse number.

    摘要: A matching machine is provided for use in model-based entity recognition systems. Input to the matching machine includes a detected data event separated into portions and a set of predefined hierarchical models of desired entities. The matching machine employs recursive procedures to match data event portions against model parts, and records in list structures matches between event portions and model parts. For each match, a degree of match is calculated according to a function defining the involved model part. An essential feature of calculating a degree of match is the accumulation of working degrees of match (i.e. figures of merit reflecting the strength of match of a subset of data event portions to a subset of model parts and the degree to which the relationship of portions matches the predefined relationship of model parts in arbitrarily complex models). The degree of match is recorded in the list structures. From the highest degrees of match in the list structures, a best match between one of the models and the detected data event is determined.
