摘要： A socketed high pressure gas discharge lamp having a lamp vessel comprising a space sealed by at least one seal. The discharge lamp further comprising a socket in which the lamp vessel is mounted with its seal and fixed with cement. A lamp axis extending through the socket and through the space of the lamp vessel. The socket is provided with at least one opening extending axially through the socket from its base side to its front side. The opening has an annular wall which is either formed only by the socket or by a combination of both the socket and the seal of the lamp vessel. Preferably, the opening is located on either side of the seal.

摘要： A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes a double-spiral arc tube and a holder. The holder has a tubular protrusion which is surrounded by the arc tube, at a center of its main surface. A closed end of the protrusion and a part of the arc tube facing the end of the protrusion are bonded together using a silicone adhesive. A part of a vertical printed circuit board that is used as a lighting circuit is housed within the protrusion.

摘要： A foamable copolymer based coupling is provided for securely affixing a light emitting glass lamp in a metal base to form a lamp assembly. The copolymer is preferably selected from ethylene vinyl acetate, ethylene methyl acrylate, and combinations thereof. The foamable coupling may be placed around one end of the glass lamp or in the lamp base before the lamp and base are matingly engaged. The assembled lamp is then heated to a temperature, which causes the foamable coupling to expand and securely affix the lamp in the base.

The lead rod support (5) is inserted into a bottom aperture (3b) of the lamp mount portion (3). The pinch seal support (4) includes an insertion hole (4d) for passing the pinch seal portion (1b) therethrough, pinch seal abutting pieces (4b), reflector abutting pieces (4a), and an opening closing portion (4c) closing the front opening (6). An adhesive (8) is injected into a gap between the pinch seal portion (1b) and the lamp mount portion (3).
