Abstract:
A printing apparatus includes a receiving means for receiving a printing job including a plurality pages, a printing means for performing printing processing on a plurality of papers based on the received printing job, a paper discharge means for discharging the plurality of papers which has been subjected to the printing processing, storing means for storing job information for specifying the printing job and paper-discharge-interval control information for controlling a paper discharge interval, a determination means for, when the printing processing based on the received printing job is performed, determining whether there exists a performed printing job that is substantially the same as the received printing job based on the job information stored in the storing means, and a control means for, when the determination means determines that the performed printing job exists, controlling the paper discharge interval based on the paper-discharge-interval control information.
Abstract:
A data processing apparatus executes a plurality of types of jobs. In this apparatus, it is determined whether the execution history of each type of job is to be indicated. The execution history is stored if it is determined that it is to be indicated. The execution history is then transmitted to a PC on a network connected to the data processing apparatus and is displayed as a history list.
Abstract:
A printing system has the first operation mode in which printing starts during processing of a target job, and the second operation mode in which printing starts upon completion of processing of the job. It is determined on the basis of the processing status of the job in the printing system whether to switch the operation mode to the first or second operation mode. The operation mode is controlled to switch between the first and second operation modes in accordance with the determination result.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes a memory which stores one or more images as one document, and an image forming unit which forms on a sheet the image of the document stored in the memory. Also included is a controller which causes the image forming unit to perform the image forming of the plural documents stored in the memory, as one document. The image forming unit includes a binder for binding the sheets on which the images of the plural documents are respectively formed, as one sheaf.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a job execution unit configured to execute at least one of an input job accompanied by inputting of image data and an output job unaccompanied by inputting of image data, an image data storage unit configured to store image data in a predetermined memory, a reference information storage unit configured to store reference information to the image data stored in the memory in the same memory, and a control unit configured to control the image data storage unit to newly store image data in the memory when the job executed by the job execution unit is an input job, and the reference information storage unit to store the reference information to the image data stored in the memory without newly storing image data in the memory when the job executed by the job execution unit is an output job.

Abstract:
An image forming system is provided, which, if a jam occurs, enables the next fed sheet to be properly fed correctly. The image forming system can use an inserter. To allow an interrupted job to be properly processed, whether or not a recovery operation is to be carried out for the interrupted job is determined based on whether or not the interrupted job uses the inserter.
Abstract:
A method to enhance the copy or printout efficiency and decrease the number of output jobs that are abandoned because of undesirable outputs. Abort of output due to absence of sheets or staples, overload of a delivery tray, or the like is predicted. If output abort is determined, data is removed from an output queue and re-registered as an output reserve job at the end of the queue.

Abstract:
In an output control method for an image processing apparatus which has a function to invert a recording sheet and continuously performs image forming and outputting for the plural recording sheets in order to prevent that the recording sheets inverted and discharged and the recording sheets incapable of being inverted and thus discharged as it is mix together in one job, it is checked whether or not there is an instruction to invert the recording sheet, it is further judged if there is the instruction whether or not each of the plural recording sheets can be inverted by the inversion function, and if the recording sheet incapable of being inverted exists, all of the plural recording sheets are output without any inversion.
