摘要: A method and system for providing interoperability for Rich Communications Suite/Systems (RCS) messaging with local and remote applications. If a target network device cannot directly receive RCS messages, electronic messages are modified on an RCS message application to include different types of electronic links to remote or local RCS interoperability applications. The local or remote RCS interoperability applications independently provides seamless, rich multi-media RCS functionality to the target network device when the electronic link is activated in the modified electronic message. The local or remote RCS interoperability applications provide two-way RCS message communications between target network devices without RCS functionality and target network devices with RCS functionality.

摘要: A method and system to allow wireless devices, such as wirelessly-equipped digital cameras, to gain wireless packet-data connectivity and to interact with a media management server, such as a photo server. A wireless carrier distributes multiple devices all having the same set of radio access data (e.g., mobile identification number and electronic serial number), and all having shared or unique pre-registration data. Any such device can then readily use the shared radio access data to acquire radio connectivity and can then use the pre-registration data to gain access to the media management server. The first time such a device connects with the media management server using the pre-registration data, the server will engage in a online account registration session with the device and provision the device with post-registration data that the device can thereafter use to access the online account.

摘要: A computer implemented method and computer program product for managing commodity data. In one or more embodiments, a commodity type and parts corresponding to the commodity are identified. A part cost analysis is generated for each part based on part history data. The part history data is obtained from a set of data sources using data mining techniques to filter relevant part data from a plurality of part data. Cost-related failure data is created using the part cost data and the keyed hierarchical breakdown coding sequence. The cost-related failure data is displayed in a commodity database based on the keyed hierarchical breakdown coding sequence. A user can obtain information regarding future cost trends for the commodity and corresponding parts based on a demand for the commodity and a demand for the parts.

摘要: Methods and multi-mode devices are provided for temporarily overriding a preferred roaming list (PRL) in a multi-mode device, in favor of a wireless local area network (WLAN) access point. A triggering event is detected. In response to detecting the triggering event: (i) a first connection with a first WLAN access point is established; (ii) the multi-mode device is authenticated with the first access point; (iii) access data corresponding to the first access point is stored; and (iv) the PRL is deactivated for a discrete time period, such that, during the time period, the device does not use the PRL to seek to establish a second connection with any communication system. After the time period, the PRL is automatically reactivated.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for secure Mobile-IP traffic traversing network address translation (NAT). A virtual-private-network (VPN) tunnel extending between the mobile node and the home agent is established, wherein the home agent comprises a VPN function. Establishing the VPN tunnel comprises (i) the mobile node communicating with the home agent at a public address of the home agent via a private network, a NAT device, and a public network and (ii) the home agent assigning the mobile node a first public address. The mobile node is registered with the home agent. Registering the mobile node comprises (i) the mobile node communicating via the VPN tunnel with the home agent at the public address of the home agent and (ii) establishing the first public address as a home address for the mobile node for, for example, purposes of Mobile-IP communication.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for encapsulating upper layers of CDMA signaling messages between a multi-mode device and a signaling gateway. In an exemplary embodiment, a multi-mode device has a CDMA mode and a Wi-Fi mode. In Wi-Fi mode, the device generates an upper-layer portion of a CDMA signaling message. The device then encapsulates the first upper-layer portion in at least one packet-switched-protocol, such as SIP. The device then transmits the encapsulated upper-layer portion of the CDMA signaling message via a Wi-Fi network and a packet-switched network to a signaling gateway, which then translates the upper-layer portion into an SS7 message, and transmits the SS7 message over an SS7 network.

摘要: A method and apparatus for communication in a wireless sensor network. In one embodiment, one or more routers in a network may be available for communication with one or more star nodes at a randomized time and/or frequency. A connectivity assessment, which may be performed at several different frequencies and/or times, may be performed to evaluate the quality of communications between devices in the network. Primary and secondary communication relationships may be formed between devices to provide for system redundancy. One or more proxies may be maintained where each proxy includes a status of one or more devices in the network, e.g., one or more star nodes or routers. Proxies may be used to handle information requests and/or status change requests, e.g., a proxy may be requested to change a communication relationship between devices in the network and may generate command signals to cause the corresponding devices to make the change.

摘要: The present invention provides an ability to generate a different layout on the screen of a calendering program. The program generates customized time slots according to the start and end points of the appointments of the day. In addition to time slots covering appointments, empty time slots will be generated but will not appear on the screen if they overlap with an existing appointment. The elimination of unnecessary images for empty time slots which are in between appointments allows for a more efficient use of space on the display screen. In compressed view mode, empty one-hour time slots will be generated to the extent necessary to fill up the screen. If in non-compressed view mode, empty time slots of one-hour duration will be added to the layout from the beginning to the end of the day.

摘要: A wastewater treatment system incorporates three interconnected, but separately controlled, processes to enhance biological phosphorus removal. The first process is a mainstream biological treatment process utilizing aerobic and solids separation zones and the provision of return activated sludge. The next is a first sidestream process for anoxic/anaerobic "selection" of desirable BPR organisms. Finally, a second sidestream process serves to ferment organic material in some of the return activated sludge to produce food utilized in the first sidestream selection process. The system permits the three processes to be separated from each other by creating two sidestreams, allowing all three processes to be controlled separately and optimized in satisfying their own specific goals.
