摘要: A cable stopper structure and an image forming apparatus includes a cable disposed throughout a first passage and a second passage, the second passage having a ceiling height higher than a ceiling height of the first passage, a first component disposed in the first passage and connected to one end portion of the cable, and a second component disposed near an exit of the first passage and connected to the other end portion of the cable, the second component being removable in a direction away from the first component. The cable includes a folded-back portion folded back in the second passage and a rigid portion disposed between the folded-back portion and the first component. The rigid portion has a rigidity greater than that of the cable and has a length in a pulling-out direction of the cable longer than the ceiling height of the first passage.

摘要: A printer includes a reverse bending member that bends a paper toward an opposite side to a curl of the paper, and a bifurcated member to correct the curl of the paper with the reverse bending member. The reverse bending member is disposed between a paper drawing position and a paper feeding roller. The bifurcated member is swingably arranged about a shaft extending in a width direction of the paper. The bifurcated member includes an upstream arm and a downstream arm. The upstream arm has a tip positioned between the rolled paper and the reverse bending member, and moves toward or from the reverse bending member. The downstream arm has a tip positioned between the reverse bending member and the feeding roller to be in contact with the paper, and rotates in accordance with a tension level of the paper to press the upstream arm toward the reverse bending member.

摘要: In order to prevent degradation in print quality which can come from matter generated from an ink ribbon and adhering to a thermal head, the thermal transfer printer transports an ink ribbon which has characteristics such that the amount of matter generated from the ink ribbon by transfer and adhering to the thermal head has a peak at predetermined transfer energy and reduces in an energy range higher than the predetermined transfer energy with increase in transfer energy, transfers ink and protective material onto paper in this order from the ink ribbon on which the ink and the protective material are repeatedly arranged in a longitudinal direction thereof, and adjusts transfer energy for the protective material to a value within a predetermined range. The lower limit of the predetermined range is higher than the predetermined transfer energy and minimum energy at which the protective material can be transferred, and is a value sufficient for transfer of the protective material to reduce matter having adhered to the thermal head since transfer of the ink. The upper limit of the predetermined range is lower than an energy value at which the protective material becomes mat and thereby glossiness of a protective layer on the paper formed from the protective material is lost.

摘要: A cover is coupled to a main body casing in manner enabling rotation of the cover. A pop-up mechanism is provided that when locking by a locking mechanism that fixes the cover at a closed position in a releasable manner is released, rotates the cover from the closed position to an open position by a biasing of first contact members in a direction so that the first contact members push second contact members that are respectively disposed at both ends of the cover, the first contact members being connected to each other and respectively disposed at both ends of the main body casing. Thus, the second contact members are pushed while a positional relationship of the first contact members is maintained to be constant.
