Abstract: Disclosed are implementations, including a method that includes obtaining measurement samples relating to electrical operation of an electric motor drive providing power to an electric motor, deriving, based on the samples, instantaneous estimates for parameters characterizing speed and/or position of the motor according to an optimization process based on a cost function defined for the samples, and applying a filtering operation to the instantaneous estimates to generate filtered values of the motor's speed and/or position. The filtering operation includes computing the filtered values using the derived instantaneous estimates in response to a determination that a computed convexity of the cost function is greater than or equal to a convexity threshold value, and/or applying a least-squares filtering operation to the derived instantaneous estimates and using at least one set of previous estimates derived according to the optimization process applied to previous measurement samples.

Abstract: Circuit for wake-up receivers are provide. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include self-mixers that receive a gate bias voltage. Some of the self-mixers are single ended and some are differential. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include a matching network that is connected to the input of the self-mixer. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include a low frequency path connected to the output of the self-mixer. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers include a high frequency path connected to the output of the self-mixer. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers are configured to receive an encoded bit stream. In some embodiments, the wake-up receivers are configured to wake-up another receiver.

Abstract: Mechanisms for protecting an application from an untrusted operating system (OS) are provided, the methods including: determining that a virtual address for a page of memory allocated by the untrusted OS for the application belongs to a valid mapping; determining that the page of memory is not already in use; and in response to determining that the virtual address for the page of memory belongs to a valid mapping and determining that the page of memory is not already in use, mapping the page of memory to an enclaved container for the application. Some mechanisms further include unmapping the page of memory from the untrusted OS. In some mechanism, determining that the virtual address for the page of memory belongs to a valid mapping is based on a list of valid mappings for the application.

Abstract: Disclosed are implementations, including a method for medical/clinical monitoring that includes obtaining clinical and physiological measurement data for a patient, and contextual information associated with the patient and representative of location and time at which the clinical and physiological measurement data were obtained, and obtaining clinician behavior data for the clinicians while treating the patient. The method further includes determining intermittently, using an ensemble learning process, based on the measurement data and the contextual information, one of a plurality of medical state prediction models best suited for a current clinical situation associated with the patient. The method additionally includes determining, by the determined medical state prediction model, based on the measurement data and the clinician behavior data, prediction output data representing a medical and/or clinical state trajectory for the patient, and providing notification output data representative of the medical and/or clinical state trajectory for the patient.
