The display apparatus includes a first insulating substrate, as well as a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of data lines on the first insulating substrate, where the plurality of gate lines is arranged to intersect the plurality of data lines. A plurality of storage electrode lines is arranged substantially parallel to the plurality of gate lines. A gate drive chip is mounted off of the first insulating substrate and electrically connected to the plurality of gate lines and the plurality of storage electrode lines. The gate drive chip is configured to apply a gate voltage to the gate lines and a storage voltage to the storage electrode lines.

摘要： A backlight assembly comprises a light source unit emitting light, a heat-blocking plate disposed over the light source unit to prevent heat generated from the light source unit from being upwardly transmitted, and a receiving container receiving the light source unit and the heat-blocking plate. The receiving container includes a bottom plate and a plurality of sidewalls. Each of the sidewalls extends from a side of the bottom plate and has openings formed through each of the sidewalls. The openings are formed over the heat-blocking plate.

Accordingly, the display apparatus prevents the data driving unit from being damaged by the high-voltage static electricity.

摘要： A liquid crystal display (LCD) capable of preventing light leakage includes first and second gate lines which extend in a horizontal direction, a data line which is insulated from the first and second gate lines and crosses the first and second gate lines, first and second thin film transistors (TFTs) which are respectively connected to the first and second gate lines and are connected to the data line, and a pixel electrode which extends in zigzag fashion at an inclination to the first and second gate lines and is divided into a first area and a second area in a direction in which the pixel electrode extends. The pixel electrode includes a first sub-pixel electrode which is connected to the first TFT and has the first area and upper and lower portions of the second area, and a second sub-pixel electrode which is connected to the second TFT, has a middle portion of the second area, and has a lateral side adjoining a first portion of the first sub-pixel electrode, an upper side adjoining a lower side of an upper second portion of the first sub-pixel electrode, and a lower side adjoining an upper side of a lower second portion of the first sub-pixel electrode, the first and second areas being connected by a plurality of connection electrodes, and at least one of the connection electrodes overlapping the second gate line.
