    摘要: The surgical suturing apparatus is configured to pass a surgical suturing needle having an associated length of suture material attached thereto between opposed pairs of jaws. The surgical suturing apparatus generally includes a housing having an elongated tubular portion extending distally therefrom. A pair of jaws extend distally from the elongated tubular portion and are each individually longitudinally movable with respect to the elongated tubular portion and with respect to each other. Each of the jaw structures includes a jaw and a securing mechanism for tightly holding the surgical needle within the jaw. Parts of the securing mechanism engaging the needle also move longitudinally with respect to the associated jaw and the elongated tubular portion. Various control structures are provided to advance the securing mechanism relative to its associated jaw to secure the surgical needle therein and to move the entire jaw structure longitudinally with respect to the suturing apparatus.

    摘要: A water ski has an automatic step-in binding which remains open while a skier is being pulled from the water and closes when the skier steps into the binding after being pulled from the water. The rear closure of the step-in binding pivots around an axis at the heel when the skier enters the binding, and is engaged by a latch which secures the rear closure in a closed position. Alternatively, the rear closure of the step-in binding includes a heelpiece which moves slidably along a track. The heelpiece is moved slidably along the track by a spring which is released when the skier steps into the binding by a trigger assembly and trigger lip.

    摘要: An endoscopic surgical instrument for aspiration, irrigation, and blowing gas adjacent a surgical site is provided. The instrument includes a handle portion and a cannula member extending distally from the handle portion. First and second connection ports are supported by the handle and are in fluid communication with the cannula member. An insertion port is also supported by the handle portion and is preferably axially aligned with the cannula member. A blow tube is removably positioned within the cannula member via the insertion port. The first and second connection ports are adapted to communicate with a source of irrigation fluid and a vacuum source and the blow tube is adapted to be connected to a source of pressurized gas such that irrigation fluid, aspiration, and/or pressurized gas can be selectively provided via the cannula member at the surgical site.

    摘要: There is disclosed an apparatus for suturing vascular tissue sections which includes first and second arms pivotally connected together and each having a needle receiving recess and a needle engaging member mounted for movement within the arms. The apparatus also includes a toggle wheel reciprocating mechanism connected to the first and second needle engaging members and movable for alternately moving the first and second needle engaging members into and out of the first and second needle receiving recesses. The reciprocating mechanism is movable between a first position advancing the first needle engaging member with respect to the first arm and a second position advancing the second needle engaging member with respect to the second arm to alternately secure a surgical needle within the arms. A cam actuating lever is provided on one of the arms to automatically cam the reciprocating mechanism between the first and second positions upon closure of the first arm against the second arm. There is also disclosed a method of suturing a pair of vascular tissue sections utilizing the disclosed apparatus.
