摘要: A backup ring assembly has a plurality of radially offset ring members including an outermost ring member formed from plurality of axially extending segments. Each of the plurality of axially extending segments includes an outer surface. A first interlock member support is coupled to the outer surface of one of the plurality of axially extending segments of the outer most ring member. A second interlock member support is coupled to the outer surface of an another one of the plurality of axially extending segments of the outermost ring member. An interlock member includes a first end supported at the first interlock member support and a second end supported at the second interlock member support. The interlock member restrains radially outward expansion of the ring and circumferential expansion of a gap extending between the one of the axially extending segments and the another one of the axially extending segments.

摘要: A fishing lure adapted to mimic sea turtle hatchlings in size, shape and movement is provided. The replica lure may provide a plurality of planar lure members that sandwich a proximal portion of a hook so that the distal portion is disposed adjacent to and underneath the mimicked sea turtle profile. The proximal end of the hook may provide a built up portion that is sandwiched, thereby providing voids between some of the plurality of lure members further mimicking the profile of a baby sea turtle, while also enabling a seesaw effect when the replica lure and/or hook is bitten by a fish.

摘要: A heart valve prosthesis (100) comprises a housing component (110) and a valve component (130). The housing component (110) comprises a housing body (111) having a housing passage (112) extending therethrough. The housing body (111) is configured to be located in, or adjacent to and communicating with, a native valve orifice (16) of a heart (10) and to engage structure of the heart (10) to fix the housing body (111) in relation to the valve orifice (161). The housing component (111) is collapsible for delivery via catheter (2). The valve component (130) comprises a valve body (131) having a valve passage (132) extending therethrough. The valve body (131) is configured to be fixed within the housing passage (112) with the valve passage (132) extending along the housing passage (112). One or more flexible valve elements (131) is/are secured to the valve body and extend across the valve passage (132) for blocking blood flow in a first direction through the valve passage (132) whilst allowing blood flow in the opposing direction. The valve component (130) is collapsible for delivery via catheter (2) separate to the housing component (110). An associated method of replacing a failed or failing heart valve utilising the heart valve prosthesis (100) is also disclosed.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a technique for executing a software method within a graphics processing unit (GPU) that minimizes the number of clock cycles during which the graphics engine is idled. The function of the software method is performed by a firmware method that is executed by a processor within the GPU. The firmware method is executed to access and optionally update the state stored in the GPU. Unlike execution of a conventional software method, execution of the firmware method does not require an exchange of information between a CPU and the GPU. Therefore, the CPU is not interrupted and throughput of the CPU is not reduced.

摘要: A system for modifying properties of an article of footwear is disclosed, wherein the article of footwear includes a removable foot-supporting member that includes a frame portion that defines an aperture, one of a plurality of insert portions that are received by the aperture, and a restraining member attached to an upper surface of the frame portion. By removing the insert portion, which has a specific physical characteristic, and replacing it with an alternate insert portion, which has a different physical characteristic, properties of the article of footwear are modified. The restraining member is attached to the upper surface of the frame portion, but not to the upper surface of the insert portion. The restraining member prevents upward movement of the insert portions and stretches to accommodate insert portions having various dimensions.

摘要: The invention is a foot measurement system suitable for mailing to consumers. The primary components of the measurement system include a length portion for determining the length of the foot and a width portion for determining the width of the foot. The length portion and the width portion each include sliders that may be positioned in an abutting relationship with areas of the foot. When the sliders are properly positioned, foot dimensions may be determined by reference to scales on each of the length and width portions. The measurement system also includes a container, for receiving and supporting the length portion and the width portion, that is suitable for use as a shipping container. In addition the measurement system may include a calibration device for ensuring measurement accuracy and a register for recording measurements.
