摘要: The present disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for tracking vehicle riders, such as students riding in a school bus, for example. In one embodiment, the disclosed system has a biometric device, such as a palm vein reader, configured to identify users who are expected to ride a school bus. When a student rider either gets on or off the bus, the biometric device is used to identify the rider. An automated controller on the bus maintains a list of expected passengers on the bus, and based on the biometric device, the controller maintains data, referred to hereafter as “rider data,” indicating whether each expected passenger is currently on the bus. The rider data is updated, in real time, as riders get on and off the bus at various stops.

摘要: A shoulder for use in retaining a railway rail fastening clip, comprising two interconnected spaced-apart walls, between which a portion of the clip to be retained is held when the shoulder is in use, and clip-engaging means, supported by the walls, for engaging a portion of the clip to be retained, does not have any feature or surface which engages the surface of that clip portion which faces downwardly when the clip is in use. Alternatively, or in addition, none of the contact regions, at which the device engages the rail clip, can be seen when the anchoring device is viewed from above when in its operative orientation and all of the contact regions can be seen when the anchoring device is viewed from below when in the operative orientation. Alternatively, or in addition, all the contact regions lie substantially at the same horizontal distance from the edge of the rail foot when measured perpendicularly to the axis of the rail and in the plane of the rail foot.

The system includes an interface for receiving, from a first workstation, a request to initiate a current session of operation of a particular executable application on a first server and user identification information from a particular user. In response to the received particular user identification information, a session processor identifies an active session of operation of the particular user on a second server previously initiated via a second workstation and re-attaches connection of the previously initiated active session of operation to the first workstation as the current session.

摘要: A plate, an electrical interconnect formed by the plate, and a fuel cell assembly incorporating the electrical interconnect. The electrical interconnect is for use in a fuel cell stack. The fuel cell assembly is for use in the electrochemically active section of a fuel cell stack. The assembly includes one or more membrane electrode assemblies (MEA), each disposed between two flow field plates that distribute fuel and oxidant to the anode and the cathode, an additional flow field plate for passing coolant in order to cool the assembly and, possibly, a buss plate. At least one of the buss plates is an electrical interconnect of the present invention. The electrical interconnect is constructed to include one or more electrically conductive tabs, where one or more of the tabs are in turn coupled to a fuel cell health management (FCHM) device that is able to monitor, control, rejuvenate, supplement, and bypass the fuel cell assembly through the connection made via the tabs. The tabs may also be utilized as mounts and heat sinks for high power electronic components associated with the FCHM, the heat generated by these FCHM components being dissipated by the fuel cell stack cooling system. The plate members are made from a highly electrically conductive material such that the voltage drop across each plate member provided by an FCHM is small thus allowing the current density across the MEA to be essentially uniform since the voltage throughout the area of the plate is more uniform that in the usual plate design. The material of the plate member is advantageously selected based on its electrical and thermal conductivities and its chemical stability in the operating environment of the fuel cell.

摘要: An electrical insulator for use with a rail fastening clip comprises a contact member providing on one side a substantially flat rail contact surface for contacting a foot of a rail and on the opposing side a clip contact surface for contacting a rail bearing surface of a bearing portion of the clip, the insulator also having retaining means for retaining the insulator on the clip in such a way as to allow rotation of the insulator about a longitudinal axis of the bearing portion of the clip. The insulator has stop portions for limiting such rotation about the longitudinal axis of the bearing portion of the clip to a desired extent. The clip contact surface of the insulator is convex, in a vertical plane which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the bearing portion of the clip, such that, when the insulator is attached to a clip having a flat rail bearing surface, a contact region between the flat rail bearing surface of the clip and the clip contact surface of the insulator is linear. The insulator is rockable about the linear contact region within the extent defined by the stop portions such that, when the rail contact surface of the insulator contacts the surface of a rail foot, the angle of the rail contact surface can conform to the angle of the rail foot surface. A rail fastening clip, suitable for use with the insulator and of the kind driven onto a rail in a direction which is parallel to a longitudinal axis of the rail, has a bearing portion having a flat rail bearing surface, wherein a detent, extending laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the bearing portion, is formed in the flat rail bearing surface, at a location spaced from a free end of the bearing portion of the clip, for engaging a corresponding abutment surface of the insulator to be retained on the rail bearing portion of the clip.

摘要: A system enables clinicians to use naturally spoken voice commands from a small, wearable, wireless badge (or other portable device) to trigger events including, application session transfer, wireless communications (such as voice calls) and control of electronic devices. A system for managing user operation sessions on multiple servers includes an interface for receiving, from a first workstation, a request to initiate a current session of operation of a particular executable application on a first server and user identification information from a particular user. 摘要: A system automatically establishes context information (e.g., determining changes to user interface workflows, screens, menus, and access requirements for devices such as monitors, ventilators, and diagnostic equipment) used by a worker in using healthcare information applications based on patient geographic location (e.g., a room or bed or department). The system addresses the need for a user to sign onto a system with each location change and manually change context information which consumes computer, server and network resources and represent a potential security problem. A healthcare system selects information to be provided to a user in response to received location dependent context data. The system includes a proximity detector for wirelessly detecting presence of an identification tag substantially within a predetermined vicinity of the detector. The identification tag is associated with at least one of, (a) a particular processing device and (b) a particular person. A location detector determines location information indicating a location associated with an identification tag detected by the proximity detector. A workflow processor automatically alters information presented to a user including information associated with a task sequence to be performed by the user for a patient in response to the determined location information.
