Abstract:
A platform may include a vehicle door case comprising a base and a case body having cavities. Each cavity is configured to receive a removed vehicle door. Retractable wheels are affixed to the case, each wheel being configured to retractably extend from the base, and disposed at a corner of the case. A securing bracket includes: a back bracket attached to a back of the case and configured to extend through a window opening of at least one vehicle door; and a front bracket attached to a front of the case and configured to extend through a window opening of at least one vehicle door. A mount permits rotation of the case, and includes a case support member rotatably secured to the base, a hitch connecting member extending from the case securing portion, and a door case securing portion configured to fixedly secure the mount to the case.
Abstract:
A flush ring spacer, and method for using it, to adjustably support and firmly mount an electrical device, such as an electrical receptacle or switch, within a wall or other support surface. Using the present invention, electrical devices may be connected to 1900 (4-square), gem or other electrical boxes, while remaining firmly flush to the wall or other surface. The electrical device will stay grounded and not move or push in (which can affect grounding), and the face plate will not crack and will no longer be used to support the electrical device
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for local loop closure is provided. The apparatus includes a component for use in a gas turbine engine. The component includes at least one of an actuator and a servo-valve, at least one sensor, and an electronic module comprising controller electronics and memory. The electronic module is configured to receive and process commands for the at least one of an actuator and a servo-valve and queue received commands in an input buffer.
Abstract:
A skill toy comprises: a first piece having a male member extended from a male mating end and having a first tether end opposite the male mating end; a second piece having a receptacle in a female mating end and having a second tether end opposite the female mating end; and a tether connected between the first tether end and the second tether end. Other skill toys are disclosed.
Abstract:
An electromagnetically shielded enclosure with operable interfaces that is portable and lightweight. The electromagnetically shielded enclosure has operable interfaces including a tactile interface through the shielding material and optionally a shielded tactile window for viewing of a secured electronic device and also for operating the secured electronic device should it have a touch screen. An internal frame is optionally provided that prevents conductive interference of a secured electronic device touch screen by the shielded tactile window. An input/output assembly is further provided to allow signals and power to be brought in or out of the enclosure to connect with the secured electronic device without compromising radio silence.
Abstract:
In an embodiment, a method of allocating media streams includes measuring real-time port usage data related to each of a plurality of physical ports associated with a link aggregation group. The method further includes selecting at least one, but not all, of the plurality of physical ports based on the real-time port usage data and sending a media stream to a network via the physical port.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a powertrain includes selectively initiating an ammonia generation cycle including injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of an engine before a primary combustion event to a calibrated air fuel ratio in a range lean of stoichiometry based upon generation of NOx within the combustion chamber, injecting fuel into the powertrain after the primary combustion event based upon an overall air fuel ratio in a range rich of stoichiometry and resulting generation of molecular hydrogen, utilizing a hydrogen forming catalyst to reform the injected fuel, and utilizing a catalyst device between the engine and the selective catalytic reduction device to produce ammonia.

Abstract:
An enhanced sputtered film processing system and associated method comprises one or more sputter deposition sources each having a sputtering target surface and one or more side shields extending therefrom, to increase the relative collimation of the sputter deposited material, such as about the periphery of the sputtering target surface, toward workpiece substrates. One or more substrates are provided, wherein the substrates have a front surface and an opposing back surface, and may have one or more previously applied layers, such as an adhesion or release layer. The substrates and the deposition targets are controllably moved with respect to each other. The relatively collimated portion of the material sputtered from the sputtering target surface travels beyond the side shields and is deposited on the front surface of the substrates. The increase in relative collimation results in deposited films with desirable properties including but not limited to high levels of both readily controllable compressive stress and mechanical integrity without the use of ion bombardment.
