    摘要: In one aspect of the present invention, this is accomplished by providing a tower that includes a fixed member; at least one movable tower member, the at least one movable tower member is movable relative to the fixed member. The tower also includes a drive for moving the at least one movable tower member when power is supplied to the drive; and a tower position detection system comprising: a switch mounted on the fixed member and electrically connected to the drive, and an actuator member mounted in a predetermined position along the length of one of the at least one movable tower members so that when the one of the at least one movable tower members is in a predetermined location relative to the fixed member, the actuator is located proximate the switch to open the switch and terminate the supply of power to the drive.

    摘要: A method of switching the operating voltage of a portable generator system includes operating an electrical generator to produce a first electrical signal and connecting a terminal assembly to the electrical generator. The terminal assembly is arranged in a first arrangement to output a second electrical signal at a first voltage. The method also includes operating an auxiliary system in response to the second electrical signal at the first voltage, re-arranging the terminal assembly in a second arrangement to output the second electrical signal at a second voltage, and actuating a switch with a portion of the terminal assembly when the terminal assembly is in the second arrangement. The method further includes re-configuring the auxiliary system in response to the actuation of the switch such that the auxiliary system operates in response to the second electrical signal at the second voltage.

Methods according to this aspect of the invention start with deriving a weighting factor for each one of the plurality of storage tanks, determining an overall transmitter resistance for the total capacity measurement, and multiplying each one of the storage tank weighting factors with the overall resistance yielding a span resistance corresponding to each one of the plurality of storage tanks. The method further includes coupling a transmitter mounted on each one of the plurality of storage tanks in a series loop whereby each transmitter has the span resistance corresponding to the tank mounted thereon and deriving a weighting factor includes adding the capacities of all of the plurality of storage tanks as a sum total capacity and dividing each storage tank capacity from the plurality of storage tanks by the sum total capacity.

    摘要: A machine includes first and second electrically actuated components and a shutdown circuit electrically interconnected therewith. The shutdown circuit has a current sense relay element which is electrically connected to the first electrically actuated machine component. The current sense relay element includes a coil capable of generating a magnetic field in response to direct current flowing therethrough and a reed switch adjacent the coil which is movable between open and closed positions in response to the presence of the magnetic field. The reed switch is normally closed when the direct current flowing to the first electrically actuated machine component is at or above a predetermined level. The reed switch opens when the direct current flowing to the first electrically actuated machine component falls below the predetermined level. The shutdown circuit also includes a shutdown relay element electrically connected to the current sense relay element and the second electrically actuated machine component so that when the direct current flow falls below the predetermined level, the current sense relay element the shutdown relay element are opened and the first and second electrically actuated machine components are shutdown.

    摘要: A portable machine having a frame and an engine supported by the frame, the engine having a power source and an engine cutoff device connected to the engine. In combination with the machine is a machine diagnosis circuit comprised of at least one protective switch connected in series with the engine power source and the engine cutoff device. The circuit also includes a diagnosis indicator combination wired across each of the at least one protective switches, the diagnosis indicator combination is comprised of an LED pair and resistor. In order to provide an indication of a machine problem, an indicator panel is located along the outside of the machine. The panel overlays the LED pairs and includes at least one icon which is illuminated by the LED pair to provide an outside readable graphical indication of the existence and location of the machine problem.
