    摘要: A shock absorber includes a valve assembly with a low speed oil flow circuit and a mid/high speed oil flow circuit. Both circuits control fluid flow through the valve assembly in the same direction. The low speed oil flow circuit is tunable in order to provide low speed damping to improve both the vehicle control and handling. The tuning of the low speed oil flow circuit is accomplished by supporting a low speed valve disc at a position radially inward of its outer edge to control the rate at which the low speed oil flow circuit opens. The valve assembly of the present invention can be located within either a base valve assembly or a piston valve assembly.

    摘要: A system and method for establishing a voice over Internet protocol link to a called party's mobile telephony device utilizes push notifications to activate a communications application on the called party's mobile telephony communications device. When a request to establish a voice over Internet protocol link to a mobile device is received by an incoming proxy server of a voice over Internet protocol service provider, the service provider causes a push notification to be sent to the mobile device. The called party can respond to the push notification in a manner that causes a communications application on the mobile device to be activated. Once the push notification has caused the communications application to activate, the communications application sends a special registration request to an outbound proxy server. The special registration request causes the outbound proxy server to initiate messaging that is ultimately delivered to an inbound proxy server, the messaging identifying the outbound proxy server with which the communications application has registered. The inbound proxy server can then communicate with the outbound proxy server to obtain information that allows a voice over Internet protocol link to be established with the called party's mobile telephony device.

Both systems control fluid flow through the respective valve assembly for fluid flow in the same direction. The low speed valving system is independently tunable in order to provide low speed damping to improve both vehicle control and handling. The independent tuning of the low speed valving system allows the optimization of the low speed valving system in relation to the high speed valving system as well as independent tuning of the high speed valving system in relation to the low speed valving system. The independent tuning of the two systems allow the achievement of a smooth transition between the two systems. The two valving systems can be incorporated into a piston assembly for an extension stroke, a base valve assembly for a compression stroke or both.
