摘要: This invention pertains to shock absorbers, and a method of controlling their operation. Specifically, this invention relates to use of a user interface allowing to control the sensitivity of various parameters used by a programmed electronic control unit. When in operation, said electronic control unit automatically send calculated and user-adjusted electronic signals to electronic control devices which proportionally regulate flow of fluid within each shock absorbers of a vehicle.

摘要: Aspects of the present invention relate to an actuator system for a vehicle suspension system comprising:
a first actuator comprising a piston, a first upper fluidic chamber and a second lower fluidic chamber, the first and second fluidic chambers separated by the piston;
a second actuator comprising a piston, a first upper fluidic chamber and a second lower fluidic chamber, the first and second fluidic chambers separated by the piston;
a first hydraulic gallery fluidly connecting the first upper fluidic chamber of the first actuator and one of the first and second fluidic chambers of the second actuator;
a second hydraulic gallery fluidly connecting the second lower fluidic chamber of the first actuator and the other of the first and second fluidic chambers of the second actuator; and
at least one pump configured to pump fluid between the first and second hydraulic galleries.-

摘要: A method for controlling vehicle motion is described. The method includes accessing a set of control signals including a measured vehicle speed value associated with a movement of a vehicle. A control signal associated with user-induced input is also accessed. The method compares the measured vehicle speed value with a predetermined vehicle speed threshold value to achieve a speed value threshold approach status, and then compares the set of values to achieve a user-induced input threshold value approach status. The method monitors a state of a valve within the vehicle suspension damper, and determines a control mode for the vehicle suspension damper. The method also regulates damping forces within the vehicle suspension damper.

摘要: A hydraulic active suspension for a vehicle includes: a shock absorber, a common channel, an accumulator module, and a liquid storage apparatus. The shock absorber has a housing, a piston, and a piston rod. The housing is adapted to be connected to a wheel or an axle. The piston is located in the housing and defines an upper chamber and a lower chamber of the shock absorber. One end of the piston rod is connected to the piston. The other end of the piston rod projects out of the housing and is adapted to be connected to a body. Both the liquid storage apparatus and the accumulator module are in communication with the lower chamber through the common channel. The liquid storage apparatus is configured to adjust a height of the vehicle. The accumulator module is configured to adjust at least one of stiffness and damping of the shock absorber.

The damper tube may have a main extension axis, and the first and second passage openings may be offset from one another in a direction of the main extension axis. In some cases the connecting element is non-integral with the damper tube, and the connecting element is non-integral with the backpack housing.

摘要: A suspension includes inner magnets coupled to an inner cylindrical member and outer magnets coupled to an outer cylindrical member that circumscribes the inner cylindrical member. The inner magnets are stacked on top of one another in an axial direction and include a first set having a first polarity alternately arrayed with a second set having a second polarity. The outer magnets are stacked on top of one another in the axial direction and include a first set having the first polarity alternately arrayed with a second set having the second polarity. Each inner magnet in the first set is radially aligned with an outer magnet in the second set and each inner magnet in the second set is radially aligned with an outer magnet in the first set to provide an attractive electromagnetic field between the magnets that passively absorbs axial displacement between the inner and outer cylindrical members.

摘要: A damper device that suppresses arc discharge between electrodes generated by bubbles in an electro-rheological fluid, includes an inner tube housed in an outer tube forming an outer shell of a damper device. An electrode tube is arranged between the outer tube and the inner tube. An electro-rheological fluid is sealed in the outer tube. The inner tube and the electrode tube constitute a cathode and an anode, respectively, and apply a voltage to the electro-rheological fluid located between the inner tube and the electrode tube. An insulating layer is provided on a surface of the electrode tube on a side facing the inner tube or on a surface of the inner tube on a side facing the electrode tube. When a maximum voltage applied to the electro-rheological fluid is Vmax (V), a thickness t (m) of the insulating layer is set to satisfy Formula (1).

摘要: A damper with a pressure tube and an outer tube, a piston rod extending between first and second piston rod ends, and a piston mounted to the second piston rod end. The piston is disposed within the pressure tube to define rebound and compression chambers. A reservoir chamber is positioned between the pressure tube and the outer tube and an intake valve assembly, abutting one end of the pressure tube inside the outer tube, defines at least one intermediate chamber that is arranged in fluid communication with at least one externally mounted, electro-mechanical control valve. A rebound chamber pressure relief valve, in the form of a poppet positioned inside the piston and piston rod end, releases excess fluid pressure in the rebound chamber. A compression chamber pressure relief valve, in the form of a poppet positioned inside the intake valve assembly, releases excess fluid pressure in the compression chamber.
