The foldable substrate comprises a first wall that has a first outer surface. The first wall comprises a first natural fiber-resin impregnated blank section that is overmolded with a first quantity of polymeric resin that forms at least a portion of the first outer surface. A second wall has a second outer surface. The second wall comprises a second natural fiber-resin impregnated blank section that forms at least a portion of the second outer surface. The first and second walls are hingedly connected together.

摘要： An air distribution arrangement for distributing a flow of air produced by an HVAC system of a vehicle includes, but is not limited to, a body having an upper surface and a lower surface. The body is configured for attachment to the vehicle downstream of the flow of air. The arrangement further includes a channel associated with the upper surface disposed to receive a first portion of the flow of air and configured to guide the first portion along a length of the upper surface. The arrangement further includes a duct associated with the lower surface and extending along a path corresponding with the length. The duct is disposed to receive a second portion of the flow of air and configured to guide the second portion along the path. The duct is in fluid communication with the channel at a plurality of locations along the path.

摘要： A panel for use over a vehicle airbag includes a non-visible tear seam for forming an airbag deployment opening. The tear seam may be formed by laser cutting through a panel substrate and into a panel covering using multiple laser power levels and may be formed at an angle of 85 degrees or less with respect to the substrate. Using multiple laser power levels can increase the accuracy and consistency of the residual wall thickness of the covering, and forming the tear seam at an angle of 85 degrees or less can improve tear seam function during deployment.

摘要： An integrated vehicle structure includes an electronic site in a plastic support structure. The electronic site has a flexible substrate with electronic components mounted thereon. The plastic support structure defines a plastic mounting surface which includes a plurality of elongated ribs projecting from the plastic support structure. Each of the ribs have a side edge forming a portion of the plastic mounting surface. The flexible substrate is mounted to the plastic mounting surface, and a plurality of air flow passageways are defined by adjacent ribs in the flexible substrate. A method support structure may also be provided which defines a metal mounting surface. One or more electronic sides may be attached to the metal and plastic mounting surfaces.

摘要： An odor absorption component is fitted to a duct in a manner that does not obstruct fluid flow through the duct while simultaneously facilitating absorption of odors from a fluid flowing within the duct. The absorbing component comprises one or more carrier structures that support a fabric/textile treated with an odor absorption coating. In one position, the carrier structures can be placed on the wall of the duct such that a plane of the support structure is parallel to and in physical contact with the fluid flow within the duct. The carrier structures may also be placed in another position within the duct such that at least two surfaces of the carrier structure that extend in a longitudinal direction along its length are parallel to and in the path of the fluid flow within the duct.

摘要： A vehicle interior assembly is provided with a console having a side-wall coupled to the console and at least one storage bin that slidingly engages the side-wall. A user slides the storage bin forwards or rearwards to cover and/or uncover the storage bin. The at least one storage bin is accessible to a user in the front or rear of a vehicle at least in front or behind the lid, respectively. The at least one storage bin slides along one or more tongues of the side-wall to expose, in part or in whole, the storage bin, thereby utilizing compact console design while providing space creation and ergonomics for a vehicle driver and/or passengers. An upper portion of the side-wall slidingly engages a lower portion of the side-wall to allow a user to adjust an armrest of the upper portion and/or to cover and uncover the at least one storage bin.

摘要： A pedestal console for a motor vehicle includes a housing stationarily mounted within the vehicle beneath and transverse to a bench seat of the vehicle. The console includes an air duct defined by structural features extending the length of the console. This allows air from a forward ventilation system to be provided, through the air duct, to an aft portion of the vehicle. The structural features extend between the bottom surface and the top surface of the console and are dimensioned to allow the console to accept passenger floor loads. To reduce cost and parts count, the entire console is formed of a one piece construction. Finally, an interior opening may be provided to route wiring of the vehicle's electrical system to the aft portion of the vehicle.

摘要： A reconfigurable console assembly includes, but is not limited to, a stationary wall adapted for attachment to a vehicle. The assembly further includes a reconfigurable wall having a stationary end, a movable end, and a substantially constant length. The stationary end is attached to the stationary wall and the movable end moves between a stowed position and a deployed position. The reconfigurable wall flexes along a longitudinal axis as the movable end moves between the stowed and deployed positions. The stationary wall and the reconfigurable wall define a storage bin when the movable end is in the deployed position. The assembly further includes a constraining element connected to the movable end. The constraining element constrains the movable end to remain in the stowed position when the movable end is in the stowed position and to remain in the deployed position when the movable end is in the deployed position.
