    摘要: A method and apparatus for communicating audio messages uses a two-way radio. An output audio message is asynchronously transmitted by generating a first acoustic signal in an input device of the radio. A determination is made whether the first acoustic signal is a command. If the acoustic signal is a command, then a response is generated in an output device, and the command is processed. Otherwise, the first acoustic signal is stored in an output buffer and then later sent as an output audio message only when a communications channel is available. An input audio message is asynchronously received in a receiver of the radio, and then stored in an input buffer. A second acoustic signal is generated which causes the stored input audio message to be sent to the output device only if the second acoustic signal is a play command.

    摘要: Apparatus for automatically dispensing food product, such as hard ice cream, comprising an insulated housing having a refrigerated chamber therein and a receptacle in the chamber for holding a supply of food product under refrigeration. The receptacle has an open upper end to permit loading of food product into the receptacle and a lower end. The apparatus further comprises a cutting apparatus adjacent the lower end of the receptacle for cutting food product from the supply, a conveyer mechanism in the chamber generally below the cutting apparatus for receiving food product cut from the supply and for conveying the food product from the chamber, a scoop member for receiving food product conveyed by the conveyer mechanism from the chamber and for dispensing a predetermined quantity of food product, and a sensing mechanism for sensing the extent to which food product becomes packed in the scoop member as it is conveyed to the scoop member and for effecting stoppage of the delivery of food product to the scoop member when the scoop member becomes packed to a predetermined extent.

    摘要: A mechanism for positioning a control valve for an oscillating vacuum feeder which automatically adjusts the position of the control valve in relation to the width of the sheets to be fed. The mechanism includes at least one coupler member selectively engageable by the side guides which align the opposing marginal edges of the stack of sheets to be fed from a sheet supply hopper. The control valve, located within the oscillating vacuum feeder adjacent the outboard ports thereof, has an outwardly extending arm which passes through a longitudinal slot in the feeder. The arm is captured by the coupler member whereby movement of the side guides will be directly imparted to the valve through the coupler member to position the valve for controlling opening or closing of the outboard ports.

    摘要: A method for selecting and recognizing spoken identifiers first defines a phrase having word slots. The word slots are arranged in the phrase in a predetermined order and according to a predetermined grammatical structure of a target language. A set of unique words selected from the target language is assigned to each word slot in the phrase according to the grammatical structure. Then, a unique identifiers can be generated by selecting one word from each set for each slot for each identifier such that a concatenating of the selected words in the predetermined order form the unique identifier.
