Abstract:
A system for controlling a turbine is disclosed. The system includes a turbine control fuel governor that has a plurality of VCPIDs operating in parallel with one another. Each VCPID is associated with a respective turbine parameter and one or more external parameters. Each VCPID incorporates feedback from the parallel operating VCPIDs to feed an integral term of a current VCPID in the following manner: a previous derivative gain and a previous proportional gain are summed and subtracted from a selected output for the turbine to yield a result, and the result is input to an integral gain portion of the current VCPID.
Abstract:
A golf swing training device comprises an upwardly extending support to be positioned on the ground in front of a golfer; a visual guide mounted on the support; the visual guide including a golf-ball viewing window through which a golf-ball is viewed by the golfer. The size of the viewing window may be adjustable.
Abstract:
A method and process executed on a computer server for connecting discrete pieces of digital content created by many people into logical structures whereby individuals may express agreement and disagreement with each piece of content, while enforcing that no person may contradict their own agreement or disagreement, enforced through a process of calculating implied positions based upon a structure of premises, each of which is a separate piece of digital content, that may be attached to each piece of digital content. Further, a method and process for combining similar pieces of digital content into a single representation of such content under the guidance of the individual creators of such digital content.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention generally contemplate an apparatus and method for monitoring and controlling the temperature of a substrate during processing. One embodiment of the apparatus and method takes advantage of an infrared camera to obtain the temperature profile of multiple regions or the entire surface of the substrate and a system controller to calculate and coordinate in real time an optimized strategy for reducing any possible temperature non-uniformity found on the substrate during processing.
Abstract:
A flexible golf club grip having a brightly colored underlist of elastomeric material of a certain durometer and an outer layer of less durometer. The outer layer may have voids to expose portions of the underlist or the underlist may have portions thereof extend into the voids during molding but remain recessed below the surface of the outer layer. In another version, a brightly colored cover layer is molded over the underlist and a spiral wrapped strip of softer elastomer is molded thereover with the edges of the strip spaced to expose the original strip of the cover layer.
Abstract:
A turbine blade includes an airfoil tip with first and second ribs extending along the opposite pressure and suction sides. The ribs extend outwardly from a tip floor and are joined together at opposite leading and trailing edges. A cascade tip baffle transversely bridges the two ribs above the tip floor forward of the maximum width of the tip to partition the tip chordally into corresponding tip pockets on opposite sides of the baffle.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for forming a reminder rib on a hand grip using an improved core bar having an axial groove extending lengthwise on a molding portion of the core bar for forming a rib on an interior surface of the hand grip. When the hand grip is installed on a shaft or handle, the interior rib forms a reminder rib on an underside of the hand grip.
Abstract:
A turbine blade includes an airfoil having first and second tip ribs extending along the opposite pressure and suction sides thereof. The tip ribs are spaced apart between the leading and trailing edges of the airfoil to include a trifurcate tip baffle defining a triforial tip cavity.
Abstract:
A handle 14 with a changeable grip 12 for a shock imparting implement has a gripping sleeve 18 positioned on an end 24 of a handle 14 abutting a ledge 28 integrally formed in the handle 14. A threaded cap 20 compresses the gripping sleeve 18 against the ledge 28 to secure the grip 12 to the handle 14. Optional splines 40 on an outer surface of the handle 14 meshing with channels 42 in the gripping sleeve 18 function to prevent slippage or rotation during use.
