    Abstract: A process that provides preventative, protective and therapeutic treatment for non-ocular biological tissues or fluids includes applying a pulsed energy source to an ocular tissue or a target fluid to therapeutically or prophylactically treat the non-ocular tissue or fluid. A pulsed energy source having selected energy parameters may be applied to one or more ocular blood vessel of an individual who has a non-ocular disease/disorder. In accordance with one aspect of the present disclosure, it is determined that an individual has one or more non-ocular disease/disorder or other degenerative disease or is at a risk of developing such a disease, and pulsed electromagnetic energy is applied to an ocular tissue of the individual to therapeutically or prophylactically treat the non-ocular disease/disorder.

    Abstract: A winding device for a blind without pull cords is provided with a reel pivotal base and a cord-guiding base abutting against each other in the upper rail of a blind. A winding reel is axially assembled on the reel pivotal base, having its outer circumference formed with an oblique conical surface gradually shrinking from its first end to its second end to enable a linking cord to move forward automatically when the linking cord is wound on the winding reel. The cord-guiding base is provided with at least one push block at a location where the winding reel is pivotally rotated for guiding the linking cord to be wound side by side closely on the winding reel, preventing the linking cord from overlapping or wound irregularly after the linking cord is wound on the winding reel, enabling a blind to be collapsed or stretched smoothly.

    Abstract: A cord lock apparatus of a window shade is provided, which comprises a base, a panel structure, and a cord gripping device. The base includes an adjustable portion allowing cords to pass through and a first-direction ascending opening is formed allowing the cords alternatively positioned. The panel structure having an insert plate and a second-direction ascending opening is provided allowing cords to pass through, when the cords are selectively positioned along the inclined surface, such panel structure is moved in a vertically upward or downward motion. The cord gripping device has an engaging block and a knurled roller, such engaging block is removably attached within the accommodation recess. The knurled roller is positioned near the top of the engaging block and a gap is formed therebetween, such that the knurled roller is frictionally locked with or released from the cords when the panel structure moves vertically downward or upward.

    Abstract: A window covering has a headrail, a plurality of lift cords extending from the headrail and a plurality of shade elements positioned sequentially below the headrail. Each shade element has two longitudinal edges which are substantially parallel to one another. A flap made of mesh fabric, a non-woven fabric or a film through which light may pass is attached to one or both longitudinal edges of the shade elements. The shade elements are positioned so that when the shade elements are in a closed position the lower edge of one shade element abuts the upper edge of an adjacent shade element and when the shade elements are in an open position, the lower edge of the at least one shade element is spaced apart from the upper edge of an adjacent shade element. The flap may or may not fully cover the gap between adjacent shade elements. A first cord is attached to one longitudinal edge of each shade element and a second cord is attached to the other longitudinal edge of each shade element. These cords extend to or into the headrail and allow the longitudinal edges of adjacent shade elements to be moved away from one another to create a gap between adjacent shade elements through which light may pass.

    Abstract: A window covering has a headrail, a plurality of lift cords extending from the headrail and a plurality of shade elements positioned sequentially below the headrail. Each shade element has an upper edge and a lower edge which edges are substantially parallel to one another and oriented transverse to the lift cords. The shade elements are positioned so that when the shade elements are in a closed position the lower edge of one shade element abuts the upper edge of an adjacent shade element and when the shade elements are in an open position, the lower edge of the at least one shade element is spaced apart from the upper edge of an adjacent shade element. A first cord is attached to the upper edge of each shade element and a second cord is attached to the lower edge of each shade element.
