Abstract:
An enclosed spool for flexible wound line comprising a spool member including: a base axis member defining an axis of rotation, and first and second circular sidewalls secured to and separated by the base axis member and extending substantially radially to the axis of rotation to provide an axial gap, the first circular sidewall terminating at a first peripheral edge, and the second circular sidewall terminating at a second peripheral edge; and an enclosure encircling the first and second peripheral edges and spanning the axial gap to define a spool volume.
Abstract:
A hard drive caddy for protecting a hard disk drive (HDD) and connecting to a host system is described. The hard drive caddy includes a housing, which defines a compartment of an appropriate size for receiving the HDD. The housing also serves to protect the exposed components of said HDD. The hard drive caddy also includes a connector, within the housing, to interface with the HDD, and a second connector to interface with the host system. The hard drive caddy also includes a mechanism to hold the HDD securely within the compartment.
Abstract:
An audio/video intercom system provides transmission of video and audio signals from a remote originating unit to a computer monitor and speaker for display and reproduction. The system includes an access point router coupled to the computer that receives the remotely originated video and audio signals. The access point router provides the remotely originated video and audio signals to the computer to enable display of the video signals on the monitor and reproduction of the audio signals on the computer speaker.
Abstract:
A file marking system for marking a computer file so that it is visually distinguishable from other computer files. The system includes a selecting sub-system for allowing a user to determine how the computer file is marked based on predetermined criteria. The system also includes a marking sub-system for marking the file based on the predetermined criteria so that it is visually distinguishable from the other files.
Abstract:
A photoreceptor comprising a charge transport layer doped with a polyarylate polymer is provided. A charge transport layer is doped with about 0.1 to about 10.0% by weight, solids basis, of a polyarylate polymer, such as for example Ardel. Charge transport layers doped with a polyarylate polymer exhibit improved electrical performance in terms of lower Vr and VBG values.
Abstract:
An electrostatographic imaging member having a charge-retentive surface and a substrate, an imaging layer to receive an electrostatic latent image thereon, wherein the imaging layer is positioned on one side of the substrate, and an anti-curl backing layer positioned on the substrate on a side opposite to that of the imaging layer, wherein the anti-curl backing layer has a polymer binder and lignin sulfonic acid doped polyaniline, and an image forming apparatus having the above imaging member or photoreceptor to receive an electrostatic latent image on a charge-retentive surface of the photoreceptor or imaging member; a development component to apply toner to the charge-retentive surface to develop the electrostatic latent image to form a developed image on the charge-retentive surface; a transfer member to transfer the developed image from the charge-retentive surface to a copy substrate; and a fixing component to fuse the developed image to the copy substrate.
Abstract:
Example fluid circuits (e.g., within aircrafts) include first and second pump assemblies. The first pump assembly has an electric motor and a first fluid pump. The first fluid pump is coupled to the electric motor and has a case drain port that is in fluid communication with a case drain region of the first fluid pump. The second pump assembly is powered by hydraulic pressure from the first fluid outlet of the first fluid pump and functions to augment flow through the case drain region of the first fluid pump.
Abstract:
A modularly expandable data storage device receptacle includes a housing configured to receive a memory device for providing additional data storage for a computer system, in which the housing is external to the computer system. A first connector is provided for receiving data signals from the computer system for accessing the memory device. A second connector is provided for passing data signals from the computer system to a connector of another modularly expandable data storage device receptacle.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and system for securing data on a removable memory device, which is removably coupled to and accessible by a computing apparatus, are disclosed. Upon an attempt by a user to access the removable memory device, a manual key is recovered by a manual key interface device. This manual key is used to authenticate the identity of the user. Upon the authentication where the user identity corresponds to authorized access to the memory device, the access is enabled. Upon the authentication, where the user identity does not correspond to authorized access to the memory device, the access is prohibited.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic photoreceptor is disclosed which is provided with an anti-corrosion layer on the interface between the substrate surface and hole blocking layer. The photoreceptor has high mechanical strength and minimizes defects in print for longer periods of time.
