Abstract:
Textiles coated with aqueous compositions of silane quaternary ammonium compounds and alkali metal bicarbonates are provided with deodorization properties and protection from allergens, irritants, molds, dust mites, bacteria, and fungi.
Abstract:
A call processing system, which may include multiple distributed call center sites, utilizes a local back-off approach to endpoint registration. The call processing system comprises a plurality of endpoints and at least a first server, wherein the endpoints register with the first server in order to send and receive calls in the call processing system. Responsive to an end-to-end connectivity failure or other designated event, a registration process is initiated in the call processing system for a given one of the endpoints. The issuance of at least one message of the sequence for the given endpoint is controlled so as to provide a local random back-off or other local back-off of the controlled message at that endpoint. For example, a second server implemented as an aggregation server may be operative to control the issuance of messages by the endpoints so as to provide a local random back-off for each of the plurality of endpoints by staggering the delivery of failure notifications to the endpoints.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for attaching and quick releasing from inside hurricane panels at an opening in a structure are provided, thus facilitating egress. Retaining pins may be located inside a panel, protecting them from potential object strikes, and eliminating the need for drilling additional holes in the panels and permitting manipulation from inside the structure. Human error or misuse is addressed, particularly the binding of pins that result from over tightening of nuts. Industry standard methods for installing hurricane panels may be employed or modestly modified as appropriate, and thus studded angle track, F-Track and direct mount systems utilizing either male or female hardware may be employed. Some of the embodiments can attach and quick release track, wherein the panels attached to the track are released when the track is released.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and network entities for detecting route changes, validating the route changes, and/or remediating potential attacks by blocking traffic over potentially compromised paths.
Abstract:
A new method is provided for establishing real-time services that can coexist with NAT and firewalls, even when the signaling protocol uses cryptography. A communication channel between the call server and the middlebox passes information between them about the bearer channels associated with each signaling session.
Abstract:
A method of acquiring vehicle data from a vehicle data bus is disclosed. The method is responsive to the execution of a telematics application on a local telematics unit. The method comprises first accessing a local vehicle library, in response to vehicle data requests from the application. The local vehicle library then carries out steps comprising: retrieving vehicle data bus information from a database; using the vehicle data bus information to extract vehicle data from the vehicle data bus, the vehicle data corresponding to the requests for vehicle parameter data; interpreting the retrieved vehicle data; and providing the interpreted data to the telematics application to satisfy the request for vehicle data.
Abstract:
A vehicle diagnostic and prognostic system and method is disclosed. The preferred system operates from a centralized processor-based data network system and also includes a vehicle interface architecture subsystem, a vehicle configuration information subsystem, an applications engine, and a presentation subsystem. More specifically, the vehicle interface architecture subsystem is adapted for retrieving operational data and identification data from a vehicle and the vehicle configuration information subsystem is adapted for providing vehicle configuration data, vehicle variant data and/or driving style related data to the diagnostic and prognostic system. Both of these subsystems are also coupled to the applications engine that is adapted for analysing the various data, identifying trends and making an overall diagnosis or prognosis. The vehicle diagnostic and prognostic information presentation subsystem is also coupled to the applications engine and adapted for graphical presentation of information to the repair technician or other interested parties.
