摘要： An apparatus to feed paper in an image forming device, which picks up papers with various thickness received in the feeding stand without a feeding error, and transfers the same to the developing unit. The apparatus includes, a feeding stand to receive a plurality of papers, and having a separating guide inclined at a predetermined angle with which the front end of the paper makes contact with; a main pickup roller that makes contact with the paper on the uppermost layer in the upper part of the feeding stand to pick up the paper towards the separating guide using frictional force generated via rotational contact with the paper; and an auxiliary pickup roller positioned between the main pickup roller and the separating guide to apply a predetermined pressure to the paper upon picking up of the paper by the main pickup roller.

摘要： A carrier locking apparatus of an inkjet printer having: a latch groove on a moving carrier carrying an ink cartridge; a locking lever, installed at a home position of the carrier, with a first end having a latch, and a second end having a pivoting lever; and a toggle spring joined to the locking lever's second end selectively applying elastic force to the locking lever to maintain each of two pivoted states. When the carrier moves to the home position, the carrier pushes the pivoting lever to pivot the locking lever in a first direction, inserting the latch into the latch groove to lock the carrier. When the carrier moves from the home position, the locking lever pivots in a second direction opposite the first direction, the latch disengages from the latch groove to unlock the carrier, and the locking lever pivots in the second direction.

摘要： A fitting protecting apparatus of a developer cartridge includes a housing storing liquid developer. The housing has at least one connection fitting connected to an outside corresponding connection fitting. A cover part is movably disposed between a first position of sealing the connection fitting to prevent exposure and a second position of opening the connection fitting to provide access thereto. The cover part is disposed in the housing. An operation part moves the cover part between the first and second positions. When a developer cartridge is taken out of a main body of an image forming apparatus or while being stored, the connection fitting connected to the outside corresponding connection fitting is covered, thereby preventing developer exposure through the connection fitting, pollution of the connection fitting by alien substances, such as dust, and damage of the connection fitting by external collisions.

With such construction, reliability of a paper separation and pickup can be increased with use of only one single separating/transferring roller. Manufacturing costs can be reduced, noise due to gear connection can be reduced, and installation space can also be reduced. Thus, a scanner having a more compact design can be manufactured.
