The elastic pad has a first side and an opposite second side. The second side is formed with a groove. The elastic pad is bent at an angle at the groove.

    摘要: The present invention is a method and apparatus for the viewing and acquisition of images of a document such as a book. The apparatus allows for the automated and reliable turning of pages of the document, while supporting it in a manner to facilitate imaging of the facing pages. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes a base for supporting the operative assemblies and components of the apparatus, a cradle assembly for holding a book, and a page turning assembly for presenting the pages to be imaged in seriatim. The method employed by the present invention involves the steps of turning pages, clamping pages and imaging, wherein the various components of the apparatus are operated to carry out the page turning and imaging functions in sequence.

    摘要: A thin flexible film is loaded into an interior surface of a hollow image-processing drum by releasably adhering a sheet of the film to a carrier. The carrier is admitted into the drum and positioned in spaced relation to the interior surface of the drum. The upper surface of the carrier is urged to the surface of the drum to place the sheet in residence against the interior surface of the drum. The sheet of film is releasably adhered to the drum and the carrier is removed from the drum. A receptor sheet may be placed within the drum and a donor sheet placed over it in a similar manner.

    摘要: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a first sheet conveyor which has a length approximately equal to the length of a stimulable phosphor sheet and which receives the stimulable phosphor sheet from a cassette holding section and conveys it into a read-out section. A second sheet conveyor receives the stimulable phosphor sheet from the first sheet conveyor and conveys it forwardly and backwardly in the read-out section. A third sheet conveyor receives the stimulable phosphor sheet, which was conveyed backwardly by the second sheet conveyor, and conveys it into an erasing section and then into a cassette in the cassette holding section. The cassette holding section and the read-out section face each other on the same side of the first sheet conveyor. The erasing section is positioned close and parallel to the first sheet conveyor and is shorter than the stimulable phosphor sheet. The third sheet conveyor intermittently conveys the stimulable phosphor sheet through the erasing section and temporarily stops it after energy remaining thereon has been erased.

    摘要: A light beam scanning system two-dimensionally scans a recording medium with a light beam to record image information on or read out recorded image information from a recording medium such as a stimulable phosphor sheet. The light beam scanning system includes a main scanning light deflector for deflecting a light beam in a main scnning direction, an auxiliary scanning light deflector angularly movable about an axis for deflecting the light beam in an auxiliary scanning direction normal to the main scanning direction, and an image-forming lens disposed between the main and auxiliary scanning light deflectors. The recording medium is supported by a recording medium support and scanned with the light beam deflected by the main and auxiliary scanning light deflectors. The recording medium support includes an arcuate support surface having a center of curvature substantially aligned with the axis of angular movement of the auxiliary scanning light deflector.
