摘要: A method of establishing and maintaining a consistent configuration state of a first processor, running on a first version of operating software, and a second processor, running on a second version of operating software, is described. The method involves determining a current configuration state of the first processor, where the configuration state comprises a list of configuration commands. The method also involves performing a syntax check for each command in the current configuration, using the second processor and the second version of operating software, with the syntax check resulting in a pass or a fail result. For every command which results in a fail result, an entry is added to a mismatched configuration list (MCL). Embodiments of this invention can be utilized to keep the configurations consistent during an upgrade or downgrade of the operating software.

摘要: A facestock releasably adhered to a liner sheet is die cut to form one or two compact disc labels, and two diametrically opposed tabs on each compact disc label and located so that one edge of the tab is in contact with one of the compact disc labels and is perforated. The liner side of the tab also has a die cut patterned so that it generally follows the outline of the tab, but which forms a shape which is inside of and slightly smaller than the face cut tab pattern. After the label sheet has passed through a printer or copier and the desired indicia has been printed on the labels, at least one of the tabs is pushed through from the reverse side of the sheet, or pulled through via a sheet opening partially separating the tab from the rest of the sheet. The tab, which is mostly free of exposed adhesive in that it is still laminated to the die cut section of release liner, is then grasped from the face side, and lifted upward, pulling the compact disc label away from the label sheet. If there is a second tab on the label, this is also removed as the label is removed, and can be grasped by the user's other hand in order to control the position of the label. The user is now able to position the label either directly onto the compact disc or into an alignment apparatus, without any significant contact to an adhesive coated surface.

摘要: Printing stock for use in making a sign that includes a face sheet and a backing sheet. The sign is formed, for example, by overlapping a plurality of sheets of the printing stock, with the sheets arranged in a pattern to form a desired image of the sign. In a number of embodiments, the sheets of printing stock may be received through and printed on by a small-office, home-office (SOHO) printer. In other embodiments, the sheets of printing stock are of standard size for use with SOHO printers, i.e., A4, 8½×11 inches, and legal size. The face sheet includes a printing surface for receiving ink and an adhesive surface for receiving the backing sheet. The face includes a face cut forming a margin and a face sub-sheet such that at least a portion of the margin is separable from the face sub-sheet. The backing sheet may include a backing cut forming a border and a backing sub-sheet such that at least a portion of the border is separable from the backing sub-sheet so that at least a portion of the adhesive surface of the face sheet is exposable. The face may include a plurality of registration marks for enabling the face sub-sheet from one sheet of printing stock that is separated from at least a portion of the margin thereof to be positioned with respect to the face sub-sheet from another sheet of printing stock.

摘要: A system and method for supporting a “hitless” switchover from an Active to a Standby processor uses a hybrid synchronization of interface states to allow applications that have been modified to have HA aware features and non-modified applications to function on the system. An interface description data block on the Standby RP is synchronized to the interface description data block on the Active RP and is maintained in a shadow state when the Active RP controls the system. In the event of a switchover between the RPs the interface description data block on the Standby RP is copied from the shadow state to a real state and applications on the Standby RP are notified of a status change.
