    摘要： A method for compiling, in a memory of a facsimile machine, at least one listing of telephone numbers or partial telephone numbers corresponding to authorized senders, or unauthorized senders, or both authorized and unauthorized senders. The method includes at least one of the following steps: 1) manually entering into the facsimile machine a code corresponding to a telephone number or partial telephone number to be added to the listing; or 2) manually entering into the facsimile machine a telephone number or partial telephone number to be added to the listing; or 3) causing the facsimile machine to scan machine readable data corresponding to a telephone number or partial telephone number to be added to the listing; or 4) manually selecting a telephone number or partial telephone number, or information corresponding to a telephone number or partial telephone number, displayed on a graphical display unit of the facsimile machine; or 5) sending an in-process signal while the facsimile machine is in the process of receiving or printing a facsimile from a sender, wherein the in-process signal causes a telephone number or partial telephone number of the sender to be added to the listing.

    摘要： Methods and apparatus include a handheld printer manipulated back and forth by an operator during use to print an image. An inkjet printhead of the printer has a plurality of fluid firing actuators arranged in a substantial column. A controller communicates with the printhead to identify active actuators given to fire at a particular time during use to print the image. However, to prevent unsightly print quality from occurring during overlapping adjacent print swaths, for example, certain of the identified actuators are prevented from firing. Especially, actuators in the column further from a center of the column fire less frequently than those closer to the center. A position sensor is also used to locate the printhead relative to the image. The controller correlates the position to the printhead and actuators and fires the active actuators or not.

    摘要： Apparatus for producing a foamed fibre dispersion for deposition on the foraminous support of a machine for manufacturing non-woven fibrous material includes an outlet manifold closed except for an outlet from which foamed fibre dispersion issues for deposition on the foraminous support, as well as a plurality of input openings, an inlet manifold closed except for an inlet through which the apparatus is supplied with dispersion to be foamed, and a plurality of outlet openings. A plurality of closed foam-forming pipes each effect communication between an individual one of the inlet manifold outlets and an individual one of the outlet manifold inlet openings. Each foam-forming pipe includes at least one internal region defined by zones of alternately decreasing and increasing cross section so as to establish cross sectional restriction to increase the speed of flow of dispersion, thereby to create in the foam-forming pipe turbulence to effect foaming of the dispersion. A pump is operable to pump a dispersion of air and fibres in a liquid containing a surface active agent into and through the inlet manifold, through the foam-forming pipes, and into and out of the outlet manifold.
