摘要： A device for fusing a predetermined toner image on a paper and which electrically insulates a heating body of a fusing unit from a power supply unit by heating the heating body using an induced current generated by a transformer. The fusing device includes an insulation unit for generating an induced current in response to an alternating current, a heating body heated by the generated induced current, a toner fusing unit which fuses the toner image on the paper using the heat received from the heating body, and a tube-expansion adhesion portion closely adhering the heating body to the toner fusing unit using a predetermined tube-expansion pressure.

摘要： An image printer using a common filter to remove harmonic waves generated at a common operating frequency band of a fixing module to fix toner onto a print medium using high frequency power generated from a high frequency generator and a switch mode power supply module to supply operating power to the high frequency generator. The image printer includes a fixing module to fix toner to a print medium using high frequency power generated from a high frequency generator, a switch mode power supply module to supply operating power to the high frequency generator, and a band pass filter to filter harmonic waves of a common operating frequency band of the fixing module and the switch mode power supply module.

摘要： A fusing roller and a fusing apparatus using the same are provided. The fusing roller includes a coil unit resistance heated by a predetermined alternating current, and an alternating magnetic flux is generated by the alternating current. A heating roller unit is heated by an induced current generated by the alternating magnetic flux. End caps are installed on both ends of the heating roller unit and have electrodes for receiving power from an external power source. Reduction units are formed on both ends of the coil unit to reduce contact resistance generated when the coil unit contacts the electrodes.

摘要： A printing apparatus including a heat roller, a pressure roller, a fusing apparatus, and a method of controlling a fusing temperature of the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus includes a heat roller, a first temperature sensor which senses a temperature of the heat roller, a first heat source which is installed inside the heat roller, a second heat source which is installed inside the heat roller and has a lower heat capacity than the first heat source, a pressure roller, and a control unit which controls the first and second heat source based on the temperature sensed by the first temperature sensor. The printing apparatus further includes a third heat source which is installed inside the pressure roller, wherein the control unit controls the first, second and third heat sources to reduce a warm-up time, power consumption, flicker and overshoot, while providing a stable fusing operation.

摘要： A fusing roller used with an image forming apparatus, including a heating pipe, an expandable pipe mounted within the heating pipe, a heating coil interposed between the heating pipe and the expandable pipe and generating a resistance heat when power is supplied, a terminal block connected to the heating coil to supply an external power to the heating coil, a gear cap provided at one end of the heating pipe, an outer insulator interposed between the heating pipe and the heating coil, and an inner insulator interposed between the expandable pipe and the heating coil. Since the heating coil is wound and then welded at one side of the terminal block, it is not readily detached from the terminal block.

摘要： A fixing device of an image forming apparatus includes a fixing roller rotatably mounted on a moving path of a printing medium having a toner image transferred thereon to fuse the toner image on the printing medium, a heater mounted in the fixing roller to generate a magnetic field by applied voltage, thus heating the fixing roller, and at least one magnetic core disposed around the fixing roller to concentrate, onto the fixing roller, the magnetic field generated by driving the heater. Accordingly, a density difference of the magnetic field generated by the heater is minimized by disposing the at least one magnetic core around the fixing rollers, thus enabling a uniform fixing temperature.

摘要： A fusing apparatus and method for an image forming apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus and method comprise a heating roller rotatably mounted in a support frame, a pressing roller for rotating in contact with the heating roller, and defining a predetermined nip area by contact with the heating roller, a hinge bracket mounted in the support frame, and supporting either the pressing roller or the heating roller so that either roller rotates in contact with the other roller, first and second elastic members facing each other with the hinge bracket interposed therebetween, and elastically pushing the hinge bracket respectively, and a guide member for guiding movement of the hinge bracket while supporting the respective first and second elastic members, wherein the first and the second elastic members compress and expand reciprocally.

The fusing device includes a heat pipe, both ends of which are sealed and in which a predetermined amount of a working fluid is contained, a cylindrical roller which surrounds the heat pipe, and a heating element which is installed between the cylindrical roller and the heat pipe. The working fluid is supercooled at room temperature, and crystallizing and producing heat when acted on by a mechanical force, and at least one mechanical unit applies a mechanical force to the heat pipe and crystallizes the supercooled working fluid.
