    摘要: A method for making an admixture in liquid form for concrete includes the step of providing a nanocarbon mixture containing at least two different types of nanocarbon particles, with each type of nanocarbon particle having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture, crushing or grinding the nanocarbon mixture into a carbon powder, and wetting and mixing the carbon powder in a water/surfactant mixture using high energy mixing apparatus. The method can also include blending the nanocarbon mixture with a nano-silica based compound, either before or after the wetting and mixing step. An admixture for concrete includes at least two different types of nanocarbon particles in a water/surfactant mixture having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture. The admixture also includes surfactant and can include a nano-silica based suspension stabilizer having a predetermined percentage range by mass of the admixture.

    摘要: A method for making concrete and concrete structures includes: providing a liquid admixture with a carbon nanomaterial in a liquid aqueous or organic solvent/compound mixture, mixing the liquid admixture with cement and water in a dosage selected to form a concrete mix having a carbon nanomaterial structure having individual carbon nanomaterial particles with a unit cell overlap, and hardening the concrete mix to form a concrete matrix with the carbon nanomaterial forming a 3-dimensional carbon nanomaterial network incorporated into the concrete matrix. The 3-dimensional carbon nanomaterial network has a shielding effect against high frequency electromagnetic pulses and other radiofrequency signals.

    摘要: A nanostructured material includes carbon nanoparticles (CNPs), such as carbon nanotube particles (CNTs) or carbon nanofiber particles (CNFs), intercalated by intercalation nanoparticles (INPs), such as halloysite nanoparticles (HNPs), in a base material, such as a polymer. A method for making the nanostructured material includes the steps of: providing a mixture of carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) having a selected composition; providing intercalation nanoparticles (INPs) configured to intercalate the carbon nanoparticles (CNPs); intercalating the carbon nanoparticles (CNPs) by mixing the intercalation nanoparticles (INPs) in a selected CNP:HNP ratio to form an intercalated material; and combining the intercalated material in a base material in a selected concentration with the base material providing a matrix for the intercalated material.
