    Abstract: A swivel coupler for connecting a pair of rigid electrical conduits especially in a confined space, includes a tubular body member with an inner sleeve of rigid plastic material, which protrudes slightly beyond the ends of the body. A pair of nuts are slidably mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the tubular body between outwardly directed radial flanges adjacent opposite ends of the body and which thread a corresponding conduit. A method of fabricating the coupling is to reverse opposite body ends 180* to abut the outer peripheral surface of the body, have one end with an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the nuts, position the nuts back to back on the body, and then enlarge the reduced end of the body to its normal diameter or larger.

    Abstract: A coupling for a flexible electrical conduit having a resilient yieldable protective sheath includes a tubular metal body member having at one end a threaded connector section and at the other end a conduit coupling sleeve provided with an external helical ridge have the same pitch as a helical groove in the conduit inside face. A collar having a tapered inside face threaded at a pitch less than that of the helical ridge is provided with an inner annular end wall having a groove mating and engaging the sleeve helical ridge. The collar tapered face engages the conduit outer face and the conduit is compressed between the confronting faces of the collar and sleeve.

    Abstract: A vapor-proof connector on a metal electric conduit includes an externally threaded tubular body engaging the end of the conduit and a gland nut spaced inwardly of an engaging the tubular body. The gland nut has an inwardly directed peripheral flange with a tapered inside face confronting a tapered end face of the body to delineate an annular space which surrounds the conduit and houses a channel-shaped resilient split metal ring having inwardly directed diverging flanges provided at its split ends with opposing reduced width tongues having enlarged arrow-shaped heads terminating in vertical flat end faces. A coupler of external shape similar to but thicker than that of the split ring has a rectangular longitudinal bore interrupted by a transverse wall. The tongues engage the bore and the tightening of the gland nut compresses the ring to urge the end faces of the ring and head into sealing engagement with the coupler end faces.
