Abstract:
A direct lighting fixture that is well-suited for use with solid state light sources, such as LEDs, and particularly useful for lighting aisles in commercial and industrial environments. An elongated housing comprises several integral elements including a heat sink, opposing side reflectors, and a mount surface. A plurality of light sources is disposed on the mount surface. Each light source or cluster of sources has an optical element such as a lens over it to redirect a portion of the light emitted from the sources in a desired direction, for example, to collimate the light. Reflective elements are placed on both sides of each light source or cluster to redirect light that is initially emitted in a longitudinal direction. The fixture may comprise multiple elongated housings connected together and aligned in parallel along the longitudinal direction. The fixture may also be scalable.
Abstract:
A method and system for displaying identifiers for one or more series of recordable events is described. A system, such as the system of a digital video recorder, may receive a set of recordable events data, such as a listing of all television shows to be broadcast over a two-week period. The system analyzes the set of recordable events data for determining one or more sets of recordable events, where each set includes recordable events having the same title. The system analyzes each set of recordable events to determine sub-sets of recordable events based on relationships between the recordable events of each sub-set. The system displays an identifier for each sub-set of a given set of recordable events when the given set of recordable events is selected for display. A user may select to record a sub-set of recordable events by selecting the identifier that represents the sub-set.
Abstract:
A tiered service model for a digital multimedia contact center assigns an entering contact to an initial service tier based on routing criteria for the contact and may escalate or de-escalate the contact to a different service tier if the routing criteria chances. The routing criteria is initially determined based on a media type associated with the contact. The digital multimedia contact center contains a set of media routers, each of which passes a contact of a particular media type to a workflow engine which executes workflows to direct the processing of contacts at service tiers that require agent activity. Agents are allocated to contacts by a dynamic automate contact distributor and the appropriate media router is used to route the contact to an agent. The workflow engine also executes workflows for agents to control the allocation of agents to contacts.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for minimizing or preventing post-surgical adhesion formation between tissue, e.g., organ, surfaces in body cavities, whereby an effective therapeutic amount of manoalide or analog thereof is administered to the target injury site for a period of time sufficient to permit tissue repair. Manoalide or analog thereof is preferably administered in conjunction with a delivery vehicle (e.g., microcapsules, microspheres, biodegradable polymer films, lipid-based delivery systems such as liposomes and lipid foams, crystalloid and viscous instillates and absorbable mechanical barriers) useful for maintaining local concentrations of the inhibitor at the injury site at an effective level for a sustained period of time.

Abstract:
Angiotensin II fragments and analogs thereof are useful in accelerating wound healing. These compounds form the basis of compositions useful for accelerating wound healing, in which the active agent is present in an amount effective to accelerate wound healing. Preferably, the compositions are in the form of matrical or micellar solutions.
