A circuit arrangement for the control of a ventilator, especially for a stream or vapor vent hood which is located above a cooking range, in dependence upon steam or vapor clouds which are drawn towards the ventilator. An ultrasonic transmission path having an ultrasonic transmitter and an ultrasonic receiver is located in front of the ventilator, with a receiving circuit demodulating the signal which appears at the ultrasonic receiver; wherein an evaluating or sample-and-hold circuit evaluates any fluctuations in the input signal encountered over a period of time and which are based on the presence of steam or vapor clouds in the ultrasonic transmitting path, and counts these signals within a time frame, and wherein a comparator circuit compares the result of the count with preset values and, in accordance therewith, activates the ventilator.
Abstract:
A timer clock of the type having a time-of-day recording mechanism, a switch electrically connectible to an electric device, an adjustable timer wheel for controlling the switch, and a power source operably connected to drive said time-of-day recording mechanism and the timer wheel. The wheel has a first set of teeth defining a second timing period which is more extended than the first timing period. The power source includes a motor and a drive shaft driven by the motor. The drive shaft carries a first gear adjacent one end thereof for actuating the second set of teeth. The first gear is engageable with the second set of teeth to drive the timer wheel during the second timing period. The timer wheel carries gearing for actuating the switch at the end of a timing cycle. The drive shaft carries a pinion engageable with a second gear, the latter comprising part of the time-of-day recording mechanism. The pinion carries drive teeth adjacent said one end of the drive shaft for driving the first set of teeth during the first timing period, preceeding the driving of the second set of teeth by the first gear. The drive shaft is mounted at its other end, opposite the one end, in a manner permitting swinging movement of the one end relative to the timer wheel.
Abstract:
An electronic cooker time switch (1) having a display panel, input elements for time data and switching times, a control circuit, a relay for automatically switching an electric load on and off, and a change-over switching device for switching over from an automatic to a manual mode, wherein there are provided a display portion (2) which has a time switch with digital display and a circuit board (15) with mains unit and control electronics, and an operating portion (3) which is arranged separately from the display portion. This modular design unit that it is possible to use different kinds of operating portions (3) with one and the same display portion (2). The operating portion (3) and the control electronics on the circuit board (15) in the display portion (2) are electrically conductively connected together by way of a flat ribbon cable (4), while data transmission between the operating portion (3) and the control electronics is effected in encoded fashion so that different operating portions can be detected by the control electronics.
Abstract:
A twenty-four hour digital display in which the numerals for the display are carried by a 1-hour barrel and a 10-hour barrel which are stepped by a stepping device. A steppable visor driven in steps by the 10-hour barrel covers part of the time the 1-hour barrel which has a function of the time display. The visor itself carries numerals for indicating single-digit hours. The stepping device includes a gearing and a shaft which serves simultaneously as a locking device for the two barrels.
Abstract:
A process and an arrangement for generating control signals in a predeterminable phase position relative to an alternating voltage at an at least short term-stable frequency through the utilization of a higher-frequencied, at least short term-stable auxiliary timing pulse. The process contemplates determining the duration of a presettable number of periods of the alternating voltage, in which there are counted the periods of a first auxiliary timing pulse occurring within this duration; counting the periods of a second auxiliary timing pulse of a different frequency which is correlated over a period of time with the first auxiliary timing pulse; and upon coincidence of the period count of the first and second auxiliary timing pulses, generating the control signal. The circuit arrangement consists of standard digital circuits. In particular, with the utilization of the circuit arrangement within the broader circuit concept, can there be employed an already present synchronizing or timing pulse frequency generation of suitable type inasmuch as, besides the adequate level of the timing pulse frequency, no special requirements are set on the quality of the timing pulse.
