摘要： A pouch adapted to contain a fluent material has a fitting having a base fitted hermetically to the pouch and having a surface exposed in the pouch. A tubular spout projects outward from the base and forms with the base a throughgoing passage opening into the pouch and having an inner surface. A liner of a barrier material covers both of the surfaces. A layer of plastic covers inner surfaces of the liner. This layer of plastic can be unitary with the base and spout so that the liner is imbedded in the base and spout, or a separate not unitary piece fitted over the liner to the fitting. Normally the liner is unitarily formed of one piece, and is in fact a generally T-shaped body like the combined spout and base.

The closure has a mount secured to the neck and a valve body formed with an outwardly open passage extending along a passage axis generally coaxial with the outlet-neck axis. This body is pivotally displaceable in the mount about a valve-body axis generally coaxial with the passage axis and outlet-neck axis between an open position and a closed position and through an intermediate position. Structure on the valve body and mount block flow through the passage in the closed position, allow free flow through the passage in the open position, and limit flow through the passage in the intermediate position.

The engaging means further comprise a planar projection (10), provided on the recessed circumferential wall region (11), which may be brought to engage under an engaging connection (7) on the pouring piece.
