A handle extends radially from an outer peripheral surface of the scoop body. A gate valve transects the channel and has a user operable finger tab adjacent to the handle for a user to move the gate valve from a first position transecting the channel and obstructing the bottom opening to a second position wherein the gate valve no longer obstructs the channel and opens the bottom opening.

The adapters are designed to provide functional features to packages that are not structurally capable of providing such functions. The functional features may include, for example, spill-resistance, flow-control, ease of use, etc. In a general embodiment, the adapters of the present disclosure include a valve comprising an outlet and a cap that is so constructed and arranged to seal the valve. The valve is so constructed and arranged to provide a functional feature and to attach to a package fitment. In another embodiment, packages are provided that include two-component adapters configured to provide specific functional features to the packages.

摘要： A dual chamber liquid condiment bottle utilizes a rotatable valve above each chamber to adjust the amount of liquid condiment released when squeezing the bottle. Each rotatable valve has a finger tab to adjust the amount of condiment released. Because condiments are often composed of different viscosities, such as mustard and ketchup, or oil and vinegar for salads, it is advantageous to have the adjustments for each chamber to release the desired ratio of the condiments when simultaneously dispensing them.

摘要： A container for liquids and a lid for the same are shown and described. The disclosed embodiments incorporate a container and a lid, the lid having: a base removably, sealably coupled to the container; a mouth adapted to facilitate drinking and/or pouring liquid out of the container; and a valve member positioned therebetween. The valve member is rotatable between an open orientation in which an aperture in the valve member aligns with openings in the base and mouth, and a closed orientation in which the aperture does not align with one or both of the openings. A handle/actuator can be used to manipulate the valve member, and can be oriented to function as a handle for the container when the valve member is in the closed configuration, and to be moved out of the user's way when the valve member is in the open orientation.
