摘要： A system and method for locating one or more travel articles for packing, out of a plurality of travel articles. A transponder having a unique locator tag is disposed on each travel article that can be potentially selected for packing. A user or computer selects one or more travel articles for packing using an article tracking unit. Article tracking unit communicates a ping signal to a transponder that is associated with a selected travel article for packing. Upon receipt of the ping signal, a transponder controller activates an indicator, such as an aural or visual cue. The activated indicator assists a user in locating the travel article that is associated with the activated indicator. Once the selected travel article for packing is located and packed in a travel container, the indicator is deactivated.

摘要： A method and apparatus for operating a compiler to process include statements contained in a source program that specify include files resident at non-connected network locations. The compiler also receives as input include options specifying include file libraries. If it does, the compiler establishes a connection with the network location and obtains a list of the contents of the include file library via the connection. The retrieved include file is then used for compiling the source code to create the object program.

摘要： A removable digital data storage device has a programmable memory controller, a data storage medium and a data destruction means. The memory controller is encoded with a firmware program to provide a computer device driver interface, wherein the firmware program further configures the memory controller to secure data on the medium by querying for a hardware code in response to a data operation request by a computer through the interface and either granting access in response to a hardware code input or, independent of an operational status of the requesting computer, directly instructing the data destruction means to render data residing on the data storage medium unreadable in response to a failure to receive the first hardware code input through the interface.
