    摘要: A glass fiber bushing is provided for a wall opening of a housing which has a light-transmitting or a light receiving component mounted therein, the component having an optically-active location to be optimally coupled to the tip of the glass fiber. At least in the region of the opening through the housing, the glass fiber is firmly surrounded by and is secured in a stiff tube which is inserted through the wall opening. An adjustment member which adjusts the glass fiber position is slipped with a tight clearance over the tube and/or over a transition piece which is secured to the tube. An end face of the adjustment member is oriented toward the exterior surface of the housing in the region surrounding the wall opening. At least close to the tip of the glass fiber, the outer diameter of the glass fiber or of a glass fiber protective layer is surrounded by the inner wall of the tube with so little play that the tube defines the position of the tip of the glass fiber. In a region between the adjustment member and the component the tube is plugged through an elastic membrane of the wall opening. A surface of the membrane is secured to the housing in the area of the wall opening. The end face of the adjustment member which adjusts the position of the tube and, therewith, the position of the glass fiber is secured to the exterior surface of the housing.

    摘要: A transmitting and receiving device for equipping optoelectronic communication systems with a metal case and a lead-in for a glass fiber through an outside wall of the metal case is disclosed. For such a device, a hermetically sealed lead-in for the glass fiber through the outside wall of the metal case shall be the result. For this purpose, the invention provides a metal tubing inserted in the outside wall of the metal case and a particularly designed metal ferrule-type connecting piece attached to the tubing. This combination results in an especially high-quality hermetically sealed lead-in for the glass fiber. The use of the transmitting and receiving device is advantageous in laser, transmitting, or PIN photodiode modules with so-called pigtail connections.

Joining of the film circuit to the intermediate carrier is carried out by one of the standard techniques, such as gluing soldering or alloying. The intermediate carrier is fastened to the housing floor by laser or resistance welding along edge strips of the intermediate carrier which are not covered by the film circuit.

    摘要: A hermetically sealed optical fiber lens arrangement, particularly for optoelectronic modules, includes an optical fiber which extends through a metal tubule and is fastened therein. The metal tubule is attached through a flange at an aperture in a wall of a module housing, and includes a spherical lens fastened in the module housing. The metal tubule supporting the optical fiber is adjusted in the flange by axially displacing it a preset focal distance from the spherical lens, and is fastened in the flange. The spherical lens mounting takes the form of a metal tubule and is adjusted at the frontal side of the flange adjacent to the housing by transverse displacement and fastened, so as to achieve optimum alignment of the optical axes of said arrangement, and the flange is hermetically sealed directly or through an annular projection of the spherical lens mounting to the modular housing wall.

    摘要: Transmitting/receiving device with a diode and an optical fiber optically coupled to an optical window of the diode, where the diode is positioned on a support with a lead-in for inserting the optical fiber. For such a transmitting/receiving device the optical fiber of the diode can be easily and accurately adjusted and subsequently permanently positioned. The invention makes provisions for a cone-shaped lead-in with the diode located at the larger opening of the lead-in. This results in an especially easy adjustment of the optical fiber with respect to the diode. The device can be used in opto-electronic receivers having a so-called "pigtail" connection.
