Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electronic equipment for a wireless communication system comprising a near field interface (4) for exchanging contact information with at least one further electronic equipment via near field communication, said contact information serving for communicating within the wireless communication system, a group editing means (3) for creating a group of contact information comprising at least the received contact information, whereby each contact information of the group relates to an electronic equipment, and a communication means (8) for setting up a communication within the wireless communication system to the group of electronic equipments in accordance with the group of contact information. The present invention further relates to a method for operating such an electronic equipment.
Abstract:
An electronic device may include a first camera and a second camera. The method comprises simultaneously, with the first camera, capturing a picture of a first object and processing it into a first frame and with the second camera, capturing a picture of a second object and processed into a second frame, merging the first frame and the second frame into a merged frame, which merged frame comprises both the captured picture of the first object and the captured picture of the second object.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system, method and computer application for local communication between electronic equipment in a user-friendly manner. In one aspect of the invention, a mobile telephone initiates a search for electronic equipment having a predetermined modality and within communication range of the mobile telephone. Electronic equipment capable of responding to the request transmit information through a local interface adapter. Such information may include, for example, a unique identifier that may include a telephone number, session initiation protocol (SIP) address of the electronic equipment, user social security number, user and/or contact biometric information, and the like. By receiving the unique identifier of the electronic equipment, the mobile telephone may search an associated electronic phonebook application to identify contact information associated with the unique identifier. For example, if the unique identifier is stored in the electronic phonebook application of the mobile telephone, the mobile telephone may display a user-friendly designation corresponding to contact information previously stored in the electronic phonebook to the associated user of the mobile telephone 10.

Abstract:
A method and device are provided for pairing devices using a short-range wireless communication protocol. Pairing may be performed by causing a device to output a visual pattern. The visual pattern may be detected and the device may be identified based on the detected pattern. Upon identification, pairing may be completed.
Abstract:
Method and computer program products for creating and using a graphical user interface of an electronic device are provided. In some methods, a photograph is provided as a digital image, and a segment of the image is defined as an image button, by linking an action to coordinate data of the segment, to be carried out by the electronic device responsive to clicking on the image button. The segment representing the clickable area for the image button may be defined by running an image segmentation application on the digital image to define separate segments covering objects depicted in the photograph. The action to be carried out may be associated with the object, such as a person, covered by the image button, such as presenting information about the object or initiating communication with a communication address associated with the object.
