    摘要: An exemplary system includes 1) a cochlear implant module configured to be implanted within a patient and including cochlear implant circuitry configured to apply electrical stimulation representative of one or more audio signals to the patient, 2) a first connector assembly coupled to the cochlear implant module and configured to be implanted within the patient, the first connector assembly including a first induction coil, 3) an implantable module configured to be implanted within the patient, and 4) a second connector assembly coupled to the implantable module and configured to be implanted within the patient, the second connector assembly including a second induction coil. The first connector assembly may be configured to be removably connected to the second connector assembly in order to facilitate inductive transfer of power between the first induction coil and the second induction coil. Corresponding systems are also disclosed.

    摘要: A headset, which may be configured to process audio for a player participating in an online multiplayer game, may support auto-pairing with audio basestations. In this regard, an audio basestation may be utilized in communicating game and chat audio content from an associated game console to a paired headset and in communicating microphone audio from the paired headset to the console. The auto-pairing may comprise automatically exchanging signals with an audio basestation, in response to the headset coming within a determined distance of the audio basestation; and pairing with the audio basestation based on processing of the exchanged signals. The pairing may result in establishing one or more wireless links for game and chat audio to be communicated to the headset and microphone audio to be communicated from the headset. The determined distance may correspond to physical contact (e.g., tapping) between the headset and the basestation.

    摘要: An antenna for wireless communication of a hearing device is shielded efficiently in a simple manner from electrical and magnetic interference fields by providing a coil apparatus and a shielding apparatus. The shielding apparatus has a flexible substrate as its main body and is formed as a single piece. The shielding apparatus is subdivided into three sections by two slits having ends not reaching the edge of the substrate. The coil apparatus is inserted through the two slits in the shielding apparatus in such a way that each of the sections only partially surrounds the coil apparatus in a circumferential direction. The sleeve-type shield can thus be applied on the coil apparatus in a simple manner. A method for manufacturing an antenna for a hearing device is also provided.

The first audio receiver may include a first receiving coil configured to receive the audio signal, a first circuit configured to process the audio signal to determine the first channel, and a first audio output configured to output the first channel. Similarly, the second audio receiver may include a second receiving coil configured to receive the audio signal, a second circuit configured to process the audio signal to determine the second channel, and a second audio output configured to output the second channel.

    摘要: Various energy harvesting and control techniques are used to power and control electronic accessories from the audio output channels and microphone input channel of mobile digital devices while preserving audio input and output functionality. One technique uses one of the stereophonic audio channels to generate power, and the other in conjunction with the microphone jack to enable bi-directional communications while preserving audio input and output. Another technique allows a low powered electronic accessory with bi-directional communications to be supported while simultaneously supporting audio input & stereo output. These techniques facilitate the ability to play music, narration and instruction and to receive oral responses and instruction with no perceived loss or gaps, even while using the audio jack of a mobile digital device to harvest energy and bi-directional communication.
