摘要： Apparatus and a process for dividing heat-shrinkable plastic film into different temperature regions within a shrink wrap oven including a movable platform; a cylindrical tube immovably mounted within the oven in the direction of movement of the platform and including a platform for supporting a portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film and a slit running the length of said cylindrical tube; a package covered with heat shrinkable plastic film and including that portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film resting on the platform adjacent the cylindrical tube; an electric fan mounted at the opposite end of the cylindrical tube containing the platform and sucking ambient air through the cylindrical tube to cool that portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film as the heat-shrinkable plastic film is tightly shrunk around the package.

摘要： A container/package of filamentary material wound in a coil and encased in heat shrinkable film with a payout tube extending through a payout hole in the container/package, the heat shrinkable film is formed as a pouch having an open end into which the coil is inserted; one end of the shrink wrap material is folded back on itself to form a hand-held cutout; the open end of the pouch is sealed and the shrunk wrap material is heated to seal the coil in the shrunk wrap material while isolating the hand-hold cutout; and the container/package is thus formed with a heat shrunk pouch tightly containing the coil of filamentary material and an attached portion not exposed to heat and not shrunk.

摘要： Methods are disclosed for producing finished packages. A bag is made from heat-shrinkable material and has a container portion with an open end and a closed end, and an integrated handle portion. An object to be packaged is placed through the open end of the bag into the container portion, and the open end is sealed. Heat is then applied to the bag while insulating the integrated handle portion so that a finished package is obtained with an unshrunken integrated handle portion and a container portion that is shrunk around the object.
