Abstract:
A system for preserving and capping tubes includes a compressed air reservoir for storing compressed air, a preservative reservoir containing a supply of a preservative, a nozzle in fluid communication with the compressed air reservoir and the preservative reservoir for injecting the preservative into the interior of a tube, and a capping device configured to insert a cap onto the end of the tube.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for orienting a tubular heat-shrinkable sleeve relative to a container. The apparatus includes a sleeve orientation unit that uses a moveable support surface to hold and rotate the sleeve relative to the container. To that end, the apparatus further includes a determining unit for determining an angular position difference between the container and the sleeve relative to an axis perpendicular to the conveyor belt on which the container is transported. The angular position difference is used to control the movement of the support surface.
Abstract:
Apparatus and a process for dividing heat-shrinkable plastic film into different temperature regions within a shrink wrap oven including a movable platform; a cylindrical tube immovably mounted within the oven in the direction of movement of the platform and including a platform for supporting a portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film and a slit running the length of said cylindrical tube; a package covered with heat shrinkable plastic film and including that portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film resting on the platform adjacent the cylindrical tube; an electric fan mounted at the opposite end of the cylindrical tube containing the platform and sucking ambient air through the cylindrical tube to cool that portion of the heat-shrinkable plastic film as the heat-shrinkable plastic film is tightly shrunk around the package.
Abstract:
A labelling system includes a dispensing apparatus to present respective cut and opened sleeves of shrink-wrap label stock material for insertion of claws of crustaceans, and a heating apparatus to apply heat to the sleeves to shrink the sleeves around the claws. A related method includes inserting a claw of a crustacean into a sleeve of shrink-wrap label stock material, and applying heat to the sleeve to shrink the sleeve around the claw. Another method involves providing a dispensing apparatus to present respective cut and opened sleeves of shrink-wrap label stock material to receive claws of crustaceans, and providing a heating apparatus to apply heat to the sleeves to shrink the sleeves around the claws. A seafood product may include a crustacean having a claw, the claw carrying a shrink-wrap label.
Abstract:
A shrink system for a labelling system includes a return duct and a make up duct connected to the inlet of a fan. A valve regulates the temperature of air supplied to the inlet by varying the proportion of air flow between the return and make up ducts. The output of the fan is supplied to a nozzle configured to entrain ambient air with the outlet from the nozzle.
Abstract:
An automatic gathering pre-shape machine has a main body and a gathering device. The main body can make plastic films formed into a circular shape with an annular flange formed around a top edge of the film. The gathering device allows a pre-shaped plastic film be blown toward an outer end of the barrel to hit a block wall and drop and mount around a tip portion of corresponding shelf to be gathered. Consequently, the plastic film may easily and automatically be gathered from the main body. Therefore, the plastic films can be kept from being damaged and the pre-shaping process is accelerated.
Abstract:
A packaging device includes a film fitting mechanism, a film shrinking mechanism and a controller. The film fitting mechanism fits a tubular heat shrinkage film over a film cylinder and moves the film a distance along the cylinder and cuts a length of the film off. The length of the film is then conveyed to the film shrinking mechanism. The film shrinking mechanism is arranged next to the film fitting mechanism and includes a base for supporting an article to be packed with the film that is cut by the film fitting mechanism and heating units for supplying high temperature air flows to the film thereby making the film shrink and tightly wrap over the article. The controller controls and coordinates the operations between the film fitting mechanism and the film shrinking mechanism.
Abstract:
The shipping system envelopes plants within their containers in perforated plastic. The perforations of the plastic are sized and spaced to allow respiration but to prevent the plant from becoming dislodged from their container. The container can be a tray having multiple cells holding a plurality of plants, or a single pot. The perforated plastic is used as an over wrap of the plant within its container. The plants are placed within a shipping container. Inserts are placed within the container and prevent the plant from becoming crushed if the shipping container becomes inverted by supporting the edge of the plant container and preventing the plant material from contacting any surface which would damage the plant.
Abstract:
A single layer color film packaging machine includes a supplying system having pair of upright supporters, a cross bar mounted between the two upright supporters, a plurality of rods extending downwardly from the cross bar, two guide rods mounted between the two upright supporters, a film feeding device having a primary frame on which is installed a sealing cutter, an arm extending from the primary frame for mounting a roll of film which has an end extending through between two rollers, a sealing cutter mounted inside the primary frame and a cutter driven by a pneumatic cylinder, a rear end of a chain of the continuous feeding device extending to a rear side of the cutter, a fixing board fixedly mounted by leading rods, and two guiding racks being mounted at two sides of the conveyor belt for transmitting articles, a shrinking device including a furnace the interior of which is partitioned into an upper chamber and a hot shrinking chamber, and a motor being mounted on a top of the furnace for driving an impeller to make an air current within the upper chamber.
Abstract:
Labelling equipment is provided for applying heat shrinkable wrap-around labels to contoured surfaces of containers. The equipment includes a label carrier having a wheel rotatable about its axis, a vacuum system coupled to the wheel to retain labels on the wheel, a feeder for directing containers individually to the wheel adjacent the periphery of the wheel to receive a label, and a drive system for receiving containers from the bottle feeder and for rolling the containers upon receiving the label from the label carrier. The container is supported on a platen having a diameter corresponding to the greatest diameter of the container so that the label depends in a skirt from the container. The container is subsequently transferred to a smaller platen and passed over a heated plenum to shrink the skirt to the contours of the container.
