    摘要: A bead wire loader device includes a shaft including two bearer elements. Each bearer elements includes a groove including a V-profile. A device for positioning tire bead wires on the building drum includes two support plates, a plurality of gripper units, and actuating devices for synchronous and uniform movement of the gripper units. The gripper units are arranged circumferentially around openings in the support plates and include at least one bead wire grasping element including a throat forming part of a single circumferential gripping profile common to the grasping elements. A tire building apparatus for a vehicle wheel includes a building drum and a bead wire placing system for fitting bead wires onto the building drum. The bead wire placing system includes the bead wire loader device and the device for positioning the bead wires. A related method of manufacturing a tire for a vehicle wheel is also disclosed.

    摘要: In an apparatus for building tyres for vehicle wheels, a forming drum is loaded on a shuttle movable on a guide along a deposition line. The shuttle is moved on the guide in the two running directions to bring it to dispensing stations of semifinished products disposed in at least some deposition locations positioned in space succession along the deposition line. At each of the dispensing stations, at least one semifinished product is laid on a radially external surface to the forming drum carried by the shuttle for forming at least one component of a tyre. The shuttle is moved on the guide in a different sequence from the space succession of the deposition locations along the deposition line.

    摘要: A method for building a tyre for a vehicle wheel includes positioning a casing sleeve on a shaping drum and securing the sleeve on the drum. During at least one of positioning and securing the sleeve, the sleeve is kept in an essentially centered position on the drum by radial forces directed against a radially inner surface of the sleeve. A shaping drum for making a tyre for a vehicle wheel includes a rotation shaft and two coaxial half-drums integral with each other with respect to rotation. At least one of the half-drums is axially movable in both directions with respect to the other half-drum. Each half-drum includes a support device, a gripping device, and a centering device. A first equatorial plane defined the centering devices is axially movable with respect to a second equatorial plane defined by the gripping devices. A plant for building a tyre is also disclosed.

    摘要: An apparatus for building pneumatic tyres includes a forming support and an assembling device to assemble components of elastomeric material on the forming support. The assembling device includes a feeding unit to deliver a continuous elongated element of elastomeric material, a conveyor having a moving surface along a predetermined direction and toward a proximal end thereof close to the forming support, and an application device positioned at the proximal end. The continuous elongated element is moved forward on the moving surface as far as the proximal end and the forming support is rotated to enable application of the continuous elongated element in the form of coils wound up on the forming support itself. A retaining device co-operates with the conveyor to brake the continuous elongated element at the end of the application, while the forming support goes on rotating, until it causes stretching and severing of the continuous elongated element.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a tire for a vehicle wheel includes forming a carcass sleeve, transferring the carcass sleeve onto a shaping drum, shaping the carcass sleeve to apply a belt structure and a tread band, and applying a pair of sidewalls against side surfaces of the carcass sleeve. Each of the sidewalls extends between an annular reinforcing structure and a side edge of the tread band. Before transferring the carcass sleeve onto the shaping drum, the sidewalls are positioned on an intermediate drum, the carcass sleeve is transferred onto the intermediate drum, and inner end flaps of each sidewall are engaged against the carcass sleeve at the annular reinforcing structures. A related apparatus for manufacturing tires for vehicle wheels includes a building drum, a shaping drum, one or more transfer devices for moving the carcass sleeve from the building drum to the shaping drum, an intermediate drum, and an auxiliary unit.
